**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

Sounds like nothing is sold out yet! I called (at 5am my time, ugh) and got right through. I didn't even have hold music and was my CMs first call of the day! I have never called right at open before for F&W so was expecting to book and pay each event, but she took everything down and then booked all at once. I was a bit nervous about that, but it worked and I got everything we wanted! Here are my events:

3D Desert Party 10/15
Wine School w/ Andrea Robinson 10/16 :cool1:
French Regional Lunch 10/22
Cheese Seminar 10/23
Taste, Shake & Indulge 10/23

I booked 4 French Regional lunches and they are $200.48 each. Gratuity is included in the $190.00, so only tax is added on.

Aren't you booking for 2 people? The French Regional Lunches are only $95 pp.

My husband and I were both calling at 6 am our time.

We both got through within a few minutes and got our events! Plus my cast member put both events in the cart, then checked me out separately at the end for both.

Party for the senses with wine view lounge on the 23rd
Then both Cat Cora events - signature dinner on the 28th and lunch with family and friends on the 29th (my husband has a crush on her).

Woohoo!! :cool1:

Oh this is so hard being patient while reading of all your choices!!! I plan on signing up for a couple of PFTS but am not in a hurry since I have no desire for the wine view room so I don't think I'll have any problem booking--in previous years have even booked day of for most of them (hopefully no jinxing myself now with that statement!!!). The only thing I am interested in today and wanted to call on is the Andrea Robinson wine school but I have an A/C guy coming tonight--so I'll wait and see if it is meant to be. Can't justify a $125 wine school if I am going to have to pay big bucks tonight on my A/C but if it is a minor issue and if the wine school is still open I'll sign up. If not---hey an extra PFTS!!!

First time got right in, call dropped. now still on hold over 20 min so far, said it was 30 min when I dialed back in. So now I'm :surfweb: patiently until they answer.

Amazing. DW and I got thru 1st try. I got a great CM and had 3 reserves before DW had 1. DW eventually was dropped. I made 7 reserves without a hitch (except for two min pause while computers went out for coffee). Best experience ever.

That's correct: pairings are $65, not $45

And my friend says he is being told the 11/13 PFTS is sold out. He's calling back as they may have just meant the wine room.

we're scaling back (no ptfs with wine view this year, sigh) - booked the 3d dessert on 10/15, taste shake and indulge 10/16 amd french regional lunch 10/23.

Can anyone who booked the french regional lunch confirm the price they were charged? My wife said it was like $242 for two people which i don't think is right...isn't it supposed to be $95 pp plus tax?

$200.48

You are right! Someone just said they paid $200.48. Please let us know what your wife finds out.

Ok, my wife just got of the phone - $200.48 for two is correct and was what we were charged - not the $248 my wife was originally told.

Has anybody been able to get tickets for the DAILY Wine Seminar or the DAILY Culinary Demonstrations?

I just spent 20 min on the phone waiting and then another with a CM ... these cannot be found in the system and she said they were "Walk Up"!!!! Can't believe this as last year was able to get tickets via the F&W website. Right now the F&W website says "click here for tickets" and then has the 2009 info loaded!!!

What's going on!

Does anyone have any info? Are you able to get these tickets for the daily events from Disney Dining?

we got through on the first try at 6AM .. amazed!

Got our two Frunches ... October 3 and October 8 and then was able to book for a friend as well.

Very easy process this year linking to resort reservation and paying in one lump sum instead of years past paying for each event individually.

$200.48 for 2 adults @ one Frunch. :goodvibes

Both DH and I got through right at 7. We booked French Regional-10/29 and PFTS/ wine vu on 10/30.

This has been touched on several times here - those don't go on sale until 8/26 and then will be available for online purchase only - discount is available with advance purchase for AP, DVC, and TiW members, just like last year.

Thanks for the clarification, Elin! Wonder why I read the cost of the Food/Wine Pairings as $45, not $65? Wishful thinking, I guess!

Nice of you to take the time to set me straight. I appreciate it!

Looking at it I could see the agent's mistake. They saw $248 total, not the change.

You can't book these by phone. You will be able to book them online starting August 26.

and the 11/13 pfts is not sold out, my friend finally got a phone agent who knew what they were doing.

Got through right away at 6am my time and was told I would have a 5 minute wait. YIPPEE, right??? Nope, I was promptly disconnected thanks to my stinky cell carrier. Not to worry.... I have hubby on the house phone holding. YIPPEE, right??? Nope, he heard I was on the line, so he HUNG UP!!!! WHAT?!?!?! Sooo, dejected I call back on the same stinky cell phone. and I get the message that it will be a 45 minute wait. I'm pretty nervous at this point, thinking disconnect is again looming, then son walks toward me with a cell phone that has a REAL PERSON on the line!!! (Yep, all three of us had our dialing fingers ready!!!) I hand my phone to son, take his phone and start talking with the agent. First, she wants to find our resort reservation, which we've had since last November... only she can't find it. After what seemed like 20 minutes but was really 5 minutes, she finally relents and says we can start making reservations without her finding my resort reservation. By the third event, where I am giving my vital info for each payment, she has a Eureka moment... "OHHHH, you don't have a Y in your last name??? THAT'S why I couldn't find your reservation!!! Oh well, it's too late to tie these to your resort reservation now..." Luckily, the rest of the bookings were completed without losing the phone call, and I have confirmation numbers for all the events we wanted. With all of those safely in hand, I agreed to take the survey... and was promptly disconnected while the recording was asking for responses. THANK GOODNESS THIS WASN'T MID CALL AGAIN!!!

So, after a total of 47 minutes phone time, here's what we're attending. May none of these be a repeat of last year's Jiko horror, and may all approach the absolute wonder we felt at the Seas dinner (referred to by many as "Eating Nemo"... though seafood was not a course) in 2007!!!

Food & Wine Pairing - Tokyo Dining - Oct 18
Signature Dining at Wolfgang Puck's Grand Cafe with Sinclair Thorne - Oct 19
3D - Disney's Dessert Discovery - Oct 21
Signature Dining at the Wonders Retreat with Jens Dahlmann - Oct 22
Taste, Shake & Indulge Like the French - Oct 23
Party for the Senses (Wine View Lounge) - Oct 23
French Regional Lunch featuring Bordeaux - Oct 24

We shall happily be waddling back to the BWV nightly. Look for the contented faces on the bloated party of three!!!

Good luck to all for your bookings! =)

Thanks oybolshoi ... This is the first I have seen this info, but then I didn't read through every single post either. Thanks.

Just missing a couple of zeroes and a decimal point (248 vs 200.48). Not surprising, it is early (especially for CMs who are in an hour earlier than ususal)
