**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

Where: Bistro de Paris, France Pavilion at Epcot®

When: Select Saturdays from 2:30 – 4 p.m. (October 2, October 9, October 16 and October 25)

Price: $45.00 per person, plus tax, gratuity included – Theme Park admission required.

I'm guessing that last date should be a 23 and not a 25, since the 25th is not a Saturday.

I truly wish Disney would go ahead and post the Signature Dinner information. We're trying to budget before our (non-Disney) vacation next week and I need to find out if there are any dinners scheduled for when we will be there. I've been checking that site since May and growled each time they missed the estimated posting dates. Once I got that email from TIW about releasing all of the information "exclusively" at the July 8th event, I knew the site wouldn't go public until after that. Thank goodness for back doors into sites, eh?! I don't understand why Disney withholds the info so long... Don't they get that people will spend MORE with them if they can budget for these ticket prices?!

I couldn't agree with you more!

This is the first year that we are going to the festival in almost 10 years so a lot has changed (especially the prices!).

We are TIW cardholders but haven't seen anything about the July 8 event:confused3

Hoping for some :wizard: that there is a Signature Dinner while we are visiting!

We're getting lucky this year.... Andrea Robinson is there when we are. I'd love to do her wine school. I am almost thinking about doing that instead of PftS. I don't think I could handle both in one day - my palate can only handle so much, lol.

Has anyone done the Celebrating Family & Friends in the Kitchen? That would be a good alternative to be able to see AR. I adore her. I used to watch her shows & own several of her books. I met her at a Charity wine tasting event here in Rochester & she was a really charming woman.

We did Celebrating Family and Friends last year and lucked out with two top chefs: Alan Wong and Art Smith. We were served a 3-course lunch and were completely stuffed at the end. Last year, it was definitely worth it, particularly if it's someone you really want to see. Just remember to arrive early to check in and get the best seats.

And everyone, keep in mind that this site is not yet live. While some industrious people have figured out how to look at these individual pages, the main address still says coming soon.

So, there may be typos, there may be incorrect information, etc. My guess is these pages are out there for a final internal review before opening up the site.

But I hear you all about signature dinners. Those are typically the events that are most random as far as dates and pricing. Very hard to predict in advance. Though sometimes you can find out by asking the individual restaurants. Victoria & Albert's will be on October 24, and we're waiting to hear back from Flying Fish (I assume they'll do one).

If you hear back from Flying Fish please let us know! I am also interested in learning when the California Grill dinner will be held!

We only have two nights at the festival this year (although I suspect I could talk DH into adding a third night) but I have to book air ... soon:scared1:

It was the first item in the July Events newsletter that was mailed out June 25. The event was limited to only 80 people, so I'm sure tickets are sold out by now. Those specialty events are really fun if you can swing a trip for them, but being 13 hours away, we can't do that for *every* one that catches our attention (wish we could!!!).

This makes me really sad... and perfectly demonstrates why releasing the Signature Dining info sooner would be much more considerate to their guests. We've been trying for four years to attend the Victoria & Albert's event, but we keep missing it. This year, we will literally be flying home as it happens if the date is October 24. It's not like you can wait until mid-July to book your flights for October, unless you want to pay premium dollar. Wouldn't Disney prefer that we spend our money THERE instead of paying premium for flights??? :sad1:

Arrrrrrrrghhhh! I'm going to miss Andrea Immer Robinson by one day!!!:mad: Every year I hope to be there when she is, we've always been off, but by one day. :sad1:

The number one french liqueur, family owned and operated since 1827, offers the unique experience to taste its range of exceptional Cognac based liqueurs. Following the tasting, become your own mixologist and learn how to muddle and shake like a pro, and later indulge in the famous Crepes Suzette and Soufflés Glacés au Grand Marnier made by the Chefs of Bistro de Paris.

Now this sounds good & better yet we'll be able to try it!:goodvibes

I'd love to go to the Gale Gand Sweet Sundays, but not for $85. Gale was the first chef I remember watching on television. Hopefully she'll be doing a deminar that week though and I can catch her.

I've got to wonder WHAT would be the menu for the guest host at Celebrating Family & Friends in the Kitchen while we are there... Andrew Zimmern of Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods. I've never seen him cook, but he's introduced himself as a chef before. At $110 a person, I'd really like to have something that doesn't make me sick just at the thought of it!!! Unfortunately, this is an event hubby and son are REALLY looking forward to... sooooo... if you attend, just look for the family that looks like this...

I went to both his deminars last year and he did all his own cooking with no sous chef. He made a Sweet and Sour Bangkok Style Quail with Red Chiles. It was spicy, but really good. Nothing crazy at all! I wouldn't worry - I doubt that Disney would let him make something nutso that most people wouldn't eat.

I had never heard of Andrea Robinson, and that's why I wasn't sure I'd want to do the Celebrating...In the Kitchen event. And she's doing a wine school, too. Maybe I'll do that one.

Great! Thanks for posting that. We're in Louisiana so spicy is not a concern! ;)

I know, that's always been our biggest complaint. With V&A, they need to have the date picked no later than 180 days out because the dinner fills the whole restaurant. So, they would need to know that regular reservations aren't possible that evening. And it's usually earlier than that. We usually take a trip to Disney earlier in the year and ask then if they know when the dinner will be. When I find out, I try to post on the DIS, but if you have an opportunity earlier in the year, you can always ask. They don't consider it some big secret or anything.

I know that someone did the Tutto Italia Food & Wine Pairing last year... could you post a link to a review with photos if you have one? Thanks so much!

Ha, I was wondering the same thing. Am I brave enough for this particular chef?

Going through the "back door" and looking at what's already posted on the site for this year, I noticed that there are dual prices listed for the Culinary Demonstrations ($9/$13) and for the Wine/Beverage Seminars ($8/$12). If I remember correctly, both of these were $8 per person (flat fee) last year. I'm assuming it's not a separate fee for children versus adults, as no children can attend the beverage seminars. Does anyone know what the two levels of pricing signify? Also, can anyone direct me to a schedule for the seminars? I can't seem to find one for this year.

Thanks for any info!
