2010 Disneyland Half Marathon - Howard Johnson's hotel discount

Typically we stay at the Hampton Inn in Garden Grove, but after our stay for the 2009 race, we won't return to it. Is the Howard Johnson on one of the shuttle routes? I mean it is so close to the parks but after running 13 miles, I am not sure I want to walk back to the hotel!

Since I cannot PM you, is there another way to get the discount code?

It's the one on Harbor Blvd. just past the McDonalds and Mimi's Cafe. Short walk to the turnstiles of the parks.

I asked DF if he needed to be in Los Angeles for the first week in September. He said, "No but I know you want to do the DL 1/2...." Gee am I that obvious I'll have to keep an eye on airfare to see what prices are like from Toronto to LAX.

I told dh about it - airfare is steep! It is tempting tho... for a Disney addict married to a running addict!!

How far is it from the start/finish of the race? I'm getting closer and closer to signing up for this so I can get the Coast-to-Coast medal.

The start line in on Disneyland Drive right next to DTD parking lot and the finish line is in the DTD parking lot, just past the Disneyland Hotel.

The walk from the Howard Johnson to the start line is approx. 10 - 12 min. I was able to get a room at the Anaheim Plaza for $59/night for both Friday and Saturday night. That walk is about the same as the HoJo.
