2010 dISBrides what have you planned?

Thank you for the welcomes!! :grouphug: I just love these boards. :lovestruc I am hoping that I can be "penciled in" at around 18 months. I am really anxious to start the planning process! I am trying to think of things I can be doing now. I have a while, obviously, but I figure it is never too early to start planning your wedding!
Also, padisneyfour, I love what you have done for your book! It's very cute and creative!

Thank you ClemsonGirl... I have done them before but not quite as involved. Usually just after 1 special trip or event not after18 plus years of trips/pics etc...:rotfl: but it really was neat looking through the old pics and remembering...:goodvibes

Congrats! I am planning for May 2010 too... what date are you hoping for?

You can only be pencilled in at the 18 months mark if you are hosting a Wishes Wedding... Escape is just book at 12 months or 8 months depending upon the location :goodvibes

You're right! :goodvibes As for what you can be doing right now, you can be telling us all about your plans! popcorn:: Do you have any ideas for locations etc?

That is SO cool! I imagine it's bringing up some great memories! :thumbsup2

Congrats to you too! How exciting to have a fellow May 2010 disbride! :cool1: I am hoping for either the 14th or the 17th, depending on which location, etc. I guess that makes sense that you can't book an escape wedding until 12 months. :( But I am very impatient! What date are you hoping for?

:goodvibes I could talk about my plans all day! As for right now, we are thinking either the wedding pavilion or seabreeze pointe. My favorite choices for hotel so far are either the French Quarter or Coranado Springs. I am thinking that is where we would stay with our families and then switch resorts for the honeymoon, like to maybe AKL or GF. I know that you have to stay a minimum of four nights to do the wedding package so I still have to figure out whether that has to be consecutive nights at the same resort, how many rooms you have to have, etc. We have just recently decided to do the wedding there, instead of just the honeymoon so I still have a lot of questions as to how it works, but I have learned a lot from these boards! ;) I have been to DW many times so I have an idea of the locations I like, but I still have so much to figure out. I am looking so forward to sharing my plans and hearing all of yours!! :yay:

I have enough of the lenox mickey and minnie ears for all our guest list(just family/siblings),
004.jpg

but over the weekend I found the bride and groom lenox ears for Dh and myself on ebay. I had been debating on wheter to get these or just use the ones like I have for the guests. The price for the two with shipping was just alittle less then regular retail on one so I gave in....I am excited to see them. I love the lenox mickey ears.:)

we also rec positive responses from additional family that we thought would be interested in attending our VR, but didn't really know... but now we do!We had calculated in our "guestimate "of 27.

Just rec. email notification that my photo book has been shipped, should have it by the end of week beg. of next.:goodvibes

I love these sparkles, Do you know if Disney can do the sparkles on cakes?

HollyandTy040412-4-07-1-1.jpg

Yup they do. Here is mine. Also, compared to the rest of the cakes that Disney offers, it was relatively cheap. Without the castle cake topper, it was $500. (served 50 according to the BEO)

Wow, That is lovely. Thanks for posting it.

Its similar to what we want - teirs seperated by the pearls and the sugar crystals, we are only having 30 people though so it would only be 2 layers, oh and we want ours square.

Did you have to request the sugar crystals or were they ofered to you as extras??

When I went to my planning session, I gave them a picture I had found in a wedding magazine. It had the sugar crystals on it in the picture.

Are you having a wishes wedding or escape? If you are doing a wishes, the minimum cake size is 50 people. I only had 30 at my wedding, but still had to go with the larger cake.

Ooo that is not bad. It looks beautiful!! I am excited because it really does look like snow. DH kind of wants the castle topper so we might go for it, depending on how we do with the rest of our budget :)

That is a very pretty cake and it def looks like snow with the sparkles added.... would be beautiful for a christmas/ winter wedding.

I found lenox bride and groom ears on ebay - two basically for the price of one and they arrived today! They are smaller than the other lenox ears. I will try to post a pic later!:goodvibes

We are having a wishes wedding so a cake for 50 it is then, shame ;) :rotfl:

Ooh! Just wanted to share! the photobook I made starting with our wedding and wdw HM through roughly 18 years of trips and pics with family and friends came today! ordered it through shutterfly and love it:love: ! I plan on using it as a quasi guest book for everyone to sign. I used alot of old pics from trips and vacations at wdw to progress from our wedding/wdw hm through present day! I ordered a 12 by 12 with a padded photo cover. The cover and pages are pale blue with gold stars and some white bursts on them sort of to follow a magical theme . I used disney like quotes through out! Example would be "the magic began twenty years ago" then next page is" on our wdw hm "and then next page is and "continues through today!" The last page reads " where friends and family share magical memories" and I have a collage of different family members and us through the years at WDW. Other brides have done this( they were my inspiration) and I thought I was so awesome! I am really pleased with how it turned out and my dds and I had a fun time collecting all the pics. If you get the chance do it! A coupon helps too!:goodvibes

Hi - I'm jumping on the thread as we're hoping/planning for a December 27, 2010 vow renewal (it will be our 13th). So far my immediate family and best friends have said they are very interested in coming, so we're hoping it will all come together! :)

Neat to see some other Dec 2010 VR ladies on here!

good luck with your plans and welcome! I think I already posted that but imo you can't ever say hello too many times. anyway, there are some of us "earlybird" brides here and planning......:wave2:

Hi Everyone! :flower3: I was just wondering if any of you have actually called disney yet. if so, what did they tell you? will they send me info if i call? i know i can't book until a year but i'd at least like to see some info rather than just what they have online. tia! :thumbsup2

Is the image of mickey and minnie in front of the castle a stamp? if so, where can i find one? i LOVE it!!

No, its not a sticker. I just printed off on my computer and then placed on glittery card stock....that is sort of our logo I guess. I plan on using it on alot of diiferent things.... it was on the design board.:goodvibes
