2010 Armed Forces Salute

Not only is there nothing on The Hub about any special discounted tickets for the military, I looked in the Automated Ticketing System at work today in the level which had the Armed Forces Salute tickets in the past nd there was nothing there. These means that the system is currently unable to issue any Armed Forces Salute tickets.

If and when they do become available I will start a specific thread as well as update the sticky.

Thanks, we will be leaving Monday, hope to hear something before then.

So bad news, I just got off the phone with ticket agent at WDW. Apparently there was an email sent out that had details stating that the tickets were supposed to be on sale for the remainder of the year starting Oct. 3. She then got an email stating that the promotion had been pulled. The ticket agent stated that she believes that the mistake that caused the tickets to be pulled was the start date and that is why they are not available. She does not believe they will be available for the remainder of this year.

That is bad news, oh well. I just don't understand whey they would offer the room discount and allow us to add the dining but leave out the tickets. I am going to hold out as I don't leave until Nov 13th.

yea i don't get it either. My guess is that Disney screwed up and published the wrong date and ppl started switching their rooms over which is why they are honoring the room rate.

I guess it just really ticks me off b/c I feel like Disney put this information about the tickets, I mean our ITT office knew about it and I know it was published on other offical military sites I feel like they really need to honnor it, but I have this awful feeling that their not going to.

I do not think that Disney deals directly with any installation-specific ITT/MWR offices. Each of them deal with a central office which is run either by DoD or the Non-Appropriated Funds. So I doubt very much that any notification about Armed Forces Salute tickets came directly from Disney.

No, Dinsey has to give the final say on what can be sold. Disney tells a main office who then distributes the information to all of the other offices. ITT would get in a whole lot of trouble from the military if they published information that had not been confirmed or allowed. My guess is that the correction email was not received by some of these offices before the dates were released.

I am so excited that the discounts have been released, I could do cartwheels! It just makes our return trip that much more affordable. Thank you Disney!!!

The resort discounts have been out since the beginning of the month, but tickets have not been... And I don't believe tickets are being released yet. Does anyone know? It sounds like they are with what Dreams Unlimited put out, but Mousesavers says the tickets are not released yet.

I am confused as well as dreams unlimited even has a link here on the dis for the room and ticket discount. I have a month before I leave and hope they straighten it out as well.

There aren't any for October since it is supposed to be a more popular time to go. If you buy the tickets early though then you get $5 off from disney!

Can you add days to the 4 day pass? Or do you have to start over with a separate ticket?

I have updated the information on the DIS. When I first put up the discount, a Disney reservations cast member had confirmed these tickets with us. They have since been discontinued. I will update the site again when/if ticket information becomes available. Thanks!
