Sorry if this has been asked. I am planning for August 2010. Does anyone know if the AAA rates are available for booking through Disney reservations?

Should be...I received AAA 10% off ASMu for Jan/Feb....room only by calling disney.

Yes they are. I have booked March and April 2010 already. They always release the entire year all at once, so I'm sure they are out for summer.:goodvibes

Any idea what the discount is for a moderate room? I'm impatiently waiting for a TA to get back with me!

We got an AAA rate for peak time 2010 - Easter week at POFQ - with tax per night is $217.69.
If we can get free dining, then we'll go for POFQ.

We also snaged a great teacher rate at the Dolphin , same time frame as above -> Resort View with tax and resort fees it comes to $228 per night.

With the $10 difference - we will most likely stay at the Dolphin again.
BUT - with free dining - it will be POFQ (free dining = $200 a day savings for us) :goodvibes

FYI - I got 20% on a Boardwalk 1BR Villa.

I don't think that free dining has ever been offered during Easter.:)

When is your stay at the BWV? I was told that AAA rate is only 10% off the Disney rate. Care to share..:)

Sure, we're going Feb. 5-12, checking out the day that the "holiday" rates kick in. That's the last days of Value season, which is why we're going then ;)

Nothing beats the prices, crowds and weather during the January/February value season.

I think the AAA discount varies by the type of resort - so 10% at a Deluxe but more at a Moderate or Value.

The AAA rate is between 10% -20% depending on what season you are in.

The value & mods get 20% in value season. During peak/summer it is 10%.

I was told I had to call CAA in order to get that rate that Disney didn't book that rate is that true?
Has anyone who has the AAA rate booked with disney?

If you call Disney, you can book room only special AAA rate.

For AAA package, you cannot book directly thru Disney

Absolutely NOT true. You can call WDW yourself and make the reservation. However, they only have a limited number of rooms available at the discounted rate and when you call ask for the AAA rate. Many of them don't know what CAA is.

I have booked the CAA/AAA rate many times and I always make my own ressies. I never use a TA.

does AAA have special Dining rates?

They do not offer anything that WDW does not offer. If there if a promo like free dining the AAA rate does not apply since you can not stack discounts. You would then have to determine which deal is better for you....having a break on the price of the room or free dining.

The only thing AAA does have is a slight discount on park tickets.
