Okay, with the 4 day military promotional tickets, I understand we have to "activate" them. What needs to be done to "activate" them? Can they be activated at Shades of Green or does it have to be at the park? I'm asking because we want to be at rope drop at MK on our first day there, and I don't want to be held up filling out paperwork. Any help would be appreciated!

yep, don't wait till your first day if at all possible. When you go to TTC they simply enter info into their computer but it can take a bit of time. We generally pick up our tickets at SOG and then go to TTC and activate and then head out to dinner. For the same reason - I don't want to deal with it the next morning.

Guest Relations. It's next to the Mickey Sports store, just down from Ghirardelli. Be prepared for the servicemember to show his/her military ID and all other adults may be asked for a photo ID as well.

Yippy Skippy! That will be PERFECT!! I know exactly where that is too! Any idea where I can find the hours that that location is open?? I appreciate all the help!! I would have been so upset if we would have waited unknowingly until we got to the parks to fill out the paperwork!

If DTD is open, I'm sure GR is open, which means they should be open till 11:00 pm.

The "paperwork" isn't anything major. If you've already bought the tickets, you present them at the GR booth and tell the CM you need to activate them. The CM will ask you for the servicemember's ID and also ask where the servicemember is stationed (or what base affiliated with - my husband is a Reservist, so he gives the base where his Reserve unit's battalion is located). The CM will ask for the names, addresses and DOB for each person using the tickets and will enter them into the system. The CM will probably give you a pen/Sharpie to sign the tickets with. That's it. It really doesn't take that long - once you get to the CM, maybe 5-10 minutes, tops.

is the 4-day military ticket a park hopper? I think I got ripped off last year and got charged for the water parks & more to be added on and only need it to be park hopper. Seems everywhere I read, they say something different.

You can get them with either hopper or WPF&M ($138 each) or you can get it with both options ($165 each). Our MWR seems to only have the ones with the hopper option, but we added the other option at DHS for $27 each, when we decided to go to DisneyQuest.

You can get a 4 day ticket with park hopper for $138
You can get a 4 day ticket with WP&M for $138
You can get a 4 day ticket with park hopper AND WP&M for $165

Those are the options.

Thank you all for all the info!! I'm getting SUPER excited and we still don't go for nearly 5 months! Any info on if it's better to buy the tickets at MWR or at SOG? If i purchase them at MWR, do they hand me the vouchers right there or do I still need to pick them up at SOG? I'm anxious to buy the tickets, but don't want to get them too early and loose them!

Do you have to buy these at the MWR is it? or do you get these at the gate? Do they work the same as the other tickets where you have to activate them?

Not sure when they'll go on sale, but I want to say I bought my MVMCP tickets online last year. I can't swear by that, though.

I think you can only get the discounted Event tickets at the Disney ticket window. I know we got our MVMCP tickets at the Guest Relations the day of the party we attended.

Activating tickets at the window only takes about 3 minutes. We have done this the past 3 years on our first days at the parks. (Before RD) So just plan on getting to the parks 5 minutes earlier than you had scheduled.. We have never waited in a line at GR. Usually what takes time is purchasing your vouchers. Shades is notorious for having a long line. However, They have started a pre order of tickets for those staying there..

After a good night's sleep, my memory is refreshed as well - I did buy my tickets at DTD for a future date. I knew I was going to be at MK on 11 Nov (my birthday) and they had a MVMCP party that day with military discounted tickets - so I bought 'em ahead of time.

I am going to Disney in a few weeks with some friends and I am getting a salute ticket for myself, my friend and two of her boys. Those are all I have left. There is another child (5 yo) who is coming with us that will need a four day pass. Is there a discount for this for military?? and we need a one day pass for another friend?? any thoughts??

if you're staying at SOG or a disney resort those prices are available (it includes PH and WP)

There is also a general discounted ticket if you're not staying on WDW property
