Hey everybody. I applied for some professional internships but if I do not get one I am probably going to do the college program again. I did the program back in the Spring of 2007 and was a lifeguard at the Grand Floridian. When I did it back then I think the presentation was in October and I was accepted by early to mid November. However, now I am at a different school and the campus presentation I am going to is next Thursday. Am I at a disadvantage by going to a presentation so late in the game? If so, does that negatively affect my chances of getting accepted?

It runs the risks of some roles being full. But there should still be roles available.

Congrats to everyone that has been accepted. It seems like Disney has finally picked up the pace in getting letters out which is good news for all those who are still waiting. I'm looking forward to getting to sunny florida (its been raining for three days here) although the drive from MA to Orlando will not be so much fun.

Got accepted as a lifeguard, I got ma package today. I'm conflicted as to whether or not I should go though this is gonna be an extremely hard decision because right now I got to a community college and it's more important to me, for me to be able to transfer to a 4 year school for the fall semester of next year and I don't want this to complicate things too much and make that impossible to do. I'll have to talk to a counsellor on Monday I guess to discuss credits and such but I don't know....

btw.... I am wondering what will happen if we cannot pass the lifeguard test. What is 20/20 vision mean? Coz I wear glasses and I and worry abt tht.

Don't worry, I go to a community college also and my advisor said transferring is a breeze. I guess a few years ago someone went to Italy to do some kind of fashion internship at my school and my advisor was also hers, and she said the transition is as smooth as if you were actually there!

If you can't pass the lifeguard test, you are placed in a different role. My roomie was supposed to be a lifeguard my first CP. She didn't pass though, and was put in custodial instead.

So now I'll be working QSFB, my best friend will be doing Life guarding, and then my other best friend is doing custodial! All 3 of us got in for the same day together!

Took them about 30 days longer than me to get their letter, but we all got it!
