It looks like your right on the money.....because over on the DDP boards a dining CM posted that the 2009 DDP packages will be available Sunday 8/3/08!!

I can't believe the suspense and waiting is almost over!

I was just on the phone making my reservations for Nov 08 and the cm was telling me that the computers were slow because they were loading all the 2009 packages. She said next week would be really busy because people will be able to book the 2009 packages. Have fun!

March '09 will be our first trip to Disney, and I've been doing a lot of reading, but want to make sure I'm understanding something. I already have a room only reservation. The CM told me to call back after 2009 rates are out to cancel and rebook as a package. I see that a lot of people are excited to book reservations as soon as the rates come out (which I can understand ). But in my case, there is no rush, right? I'd like to wait until the dining plan information is released, and take some time to evaluate which option would work best for my family. I'm sure I won't wait long, but in theory, I could wait a couple months to convert to a package, correct? Or is there a downside to waiting that I'm not considering? Thanks! Michelle

as long as you have the room booked youre fine to wait. You can add the ddp and tickets up until 3 days from arrival. Just remember your room only has to be cancelled and refunded and you need to pay the $200 deposit (outside of 45 days) on your package. The 09 DDP and ticket prices should be out sunday as well

We are in the process of booking a trip in June 09. Based on the new rates being released on Sunday, I think we will wait until Sunday.

We booked our room at the Contemp for Oct 2009 about 6 weeks ago. Of course they wouldn't tell me what the exact rate would be but I was just happy to have the room! Cant wait to see what the actual damage is going to be.
