2009 Reservation - Split Stay Question

My wife and I want to do a split stay at AKL for February 7 - 13. Three nights in a Savannah room and three nights Concierge so we can do the Sunrise and Sunset Safaris. I'm guessing this will be considered two different reservations and since we want to book early we will need book two rooms now and pay one nights rate fore each since the 2009 rates arent available.

Can someone let me know if this is correct.

I would do two reservations and then when the 2009 rates come out in early or late august call and see how to put them on one resv. Have you tried calling disney on that yet? They have always been helpful for me. I know they can only book the room now since rates aren't out also with no guarntee on the price they are booking it at at the time. Book them both now so you won't be disappointed on availabilty for what you really want.
