2009 Rates

When do the 2009 rates and packages come out? I called Disney yesterday with some questions, and the rep said she was surprised they weren't out already. Anyone know when this usually happens?? I want to start planning officially!!! Of course, she said I could reserve a room and many people do that. But how does that convert to a package?

Last year it was in the beginning of August ... that's when they released the AAA-discounts as well. The news is always broken here on the Dis first

We did this in 07 for our 08 trip, but I went through a travel agent. We booked a room only with one nights deposit, and then when package rates came out they canceled our room only and gave us a package. When we added the air fare it had to be paid immediately and then we had until 45 days from departure to pay the balance.
