2009 Rates?

I was told that the 2009 rates are not out yet...is this true?

I've been informed that the rates aren't posted until around August!!! It seems kinda late in the year huh?

It seems like a long wait, but when we wanted to book last year we had to wait until August for the rates to come out. I drove the TA crazy bugging her for info. This time around i will do all the leg work so I know exactly what is going on. I hope the increases aren't too much.

You can actually make a "room only reservation" RIGHT NOW! Just call the disney reservation number and tell them you want to make a room only booking. They will charge you one nights stay at 2008 peak price which will be changed when 2009 rates are released this summer! I have had ny reservation made for next January since the end of this past February!

Thanks everyone. I was just worried that booking only 6 months out might not be enough time and it may already be sold out...we are looking at going the last week of Feb 2009, which according to this year is peak, and it is Mardi Gras.

You can make a room only reservation right now as noted in the previous posts.. but the rates for the coming year are typically not released until August of the current year.

As other posters have stated, you can make room only reservations now for 2009, but only for parts of the year. You can make reservations 499 days in advance. So if you are interested in the first 8 months or so of 2009, you can make reservations, but the end of the year is still not available.
