2009 Planner - Receipt Rolecall

Not to be a smart a@@,:goodvibes but, shouldn't we receive the 2009 planner in 2008 BEFORE we all start planning our vacations?:confused3 Our two trips this year were planned in December. We already have planned one trip for 2010.

I received mine finally today...and that is what I was saying to my husband when I was looking thru the book...isn't this 2009 and isn't this June hasn't everyone pretty much already made their reservations for this year I know we made ours long ago for Oct at BWV like last Nov.....I couldn't for the life of me figure out where the point chart for 2010 was since I had read a few months back that they had realocated the points. Well I finally found it hidden in the back behind that sheet that they send to track you points that is always back there....:confused3

Just got mine here in MA. Although it is a nice book (isn't this a paper-cover version of the one the guides give out?) It's 100% useless to me, except to perhaps pop on my desk at work. All our stays for 2009 are made, even some into 2010.

It was a shock at first to see that the pics of Kidani, BLT and the Treehouses are the drawings we saw all along. Of course, when this went to the publisher those resorts wern't suitable for imaging and now 2 out of 3 are up and running - just odd timing on it all.

At the rate it's taken them to produce these, I suggest DVC skip the 2010 book and get to work on 2011 one now Maybe we'll get them by Dec 2010.

ITA! I think they should have 2011's out in January/February 2010 since we all book pretty much at 11 months that would just make sense.

Also got mine today in MA but like Twinklebug........am already booked up for 2009. I need the 2010 one~~

MY point exactly, what a waste of money???? what were they thinking....seems like I we all seem to think of that phrase alot lately about DVC "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING".:confused3

Still nothing here in Maryland....at this point they've really wasted a lot of money on these things by sending them out so late. :sad2: What a waste of trees.

I've had mine for a few days now. It's a nice book, and at least they included the separate booklet with the 2010 points chart. I got really tired of having to access them online every time I wanted to check something.

I'm not angry - just intrigued and can see the funny side of this situation.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a chat with the person who was managing this project to see exactly what they were thinking? I understand the points were shuffled around very late in the game, but those are 2010's points! They aren't even in this book. :confused3

I am part of a team that makes customized financial software. Regardless of cause, If any of my company's clients had to put up with our software being delivered late, to the point where it was useless and had to be reworked asap we'd be in a heap of trouble. Oops.

I'd like to know how much of our dues was put toward these? I'm hoping the number is $0 (pass-along marketing material?)

Got mine in NH yesterday on the 8th. I think they can skip a 2010 book and just get us a copy of 2011 by the end of 2010 so we have plenty of time to go over points for the nights we might want and still have a month to make exact plans before trying to book our stays at 11 months.

I got mine today in MA. I really hope they put some serious consideration into doing a binder instead of these books. I love the book but would rather save some trees and just replace the items that need to be replaced or add the pages when needed. It would actually be nice to have all the points charts together just to see the changes and to have everything in one spot. So DVC if your reading PLEASE DO BINDERS INSTEAD OF THE BOOKS! Ok that's my 2 cents.

Nothing in WV. I thought I got it last night, but it was my webcast party in a box. Now that stuff is impressive, especially the pleather portfolio and DVC mickey ears!

Picked mine up at the PO yesterday, it arrived while we were at WDW last week. I'm in WA.
We closed in Dec. 2007 and this is the first one I have received. A bit late in the year or not, I think it is neat.
I am already booked for this year and one trip in 2010.

Still nothing here. I was hoping they would be 2010-2011 point charts, since most of us have planned most of our 2010 trips already...

I'm thinking they will probably reallocate points again next year, and we'll be doing this same thing for 2011 trips. :scared1:

Ours arrived here in CT on Monday, June 8.

And the first thing my mother said was, "So that's what they're wasting our dues on??":rotfl:

She was just unimpressed with the mailer as a whole and thought it was a waste of money and paper. I told her it's helpful for those of us who PLAN the trips (my sister and I) to be able to figure out the points...but that argument didn't hold much water after I realized they were 2009/2010 charts (which we've already planned five trips total for '09 and taken three of them) and not the 2010/2011 points (which we currently have one reservation set for '10).
