2009 mugs different?

Do you get free refills with these mugs? and if so all over wdw or just at your resort hotel? im confused

Free refills at your resort's food court (or equivalent).

What would prevent someone who visits WDW 2 or more times in a year from bringing back the mug from their first trip and reusing it on subsequent visits if the mugs are the same at every resort and are used for 2 yrs? Haven't the YOMD mugs been around for 2 yrs now?

Some of the mugs in had the same scene, but a date on it. Unfortunately, nothing really prevents it, but it is not the right thing to do. It is a hot topic on this board which usually results in the thread being closed.

We just got back last night and they still have the YOAMD mugs. But alot of other things had changed.....napkins, plastic shopping bags, receipt logo. I figure once all the old mugs are gone, they will have the new ones out.

It is a shame that our last trip to the world was in May 2007 and there is a possibility that there will be the same theming this trip! I remember being estatic that we would get to see the Year of a Million Dreams stuff finally at that time...

Some other good news though, I just got an email from the "Passporter" that the new parade at MK will be starting on Jan. 27th... Hopefully, all the new themeing will kick in soon.

I understand them using all of the old mugs until they are gone, for cost reasons. However, if I was going in January of 2009, I would want the 2009 mug! It was a little disappointing to us that they had the same mugs in 2007 and 2008. Just a small detail, (and grateful to be able to visit disney at all), but still a little disappointing.

What can you get in the mugs, soda? juice? milk? coffee?

We will be at the Boardwalk.. Where do we get them and where can we get the refills... maybe the bakery!

Soda, Coffee, Tea and Hot Chocolate at all the resorts.

Not sure if the others have, but Pop has: Apple juice, slushies (frozen Coke and Blue Raspberry)

We didn't have different colored lids but we did have different colored handles. We had blue, black and gray handles. When I bought our mugs in Oct 2007 I thought it was a winter scene and wondered for a long time why they had a winter scene on them. It took me a while to realize it wasn't a winter scene but still, everytime I use it I think of winter. I guess living in New England that's how it looks to us...with the blue background and the stars as the falling snow it looks like Mickey, Minnie and the gang standing in a snow storm with a few inches of snow already on the ground (better get the shovels!)...most pictures show it that way

Until I read this thread it never occured to me that this was not a winter scene! Now that I look at my mugs I guess you're right! Here I thought these were special ones made for the Christmas season which is dumb of me since I bought them in August . . .

We too are excited about the new mugs and we get there in one week! I have too many YOMD mugs. Bring on the celebration mugs! Please!

My parents check into POFQ on Tuesday. I'm going to be talking to them every day during their trip, so I'll ask them what the mugs look like.

BTW, this is their first trip to WDW since the 1980s! It's been a long time since they've seen the MK and Epcot, and DHS and AK will be all new to them. I'm so excited about their trip!

I don't think you can get juice or milk, but yes on soda/lemonade/iced tea/coffee/hot cocoa...

When buying a resort mug it is only good for refills at your resort during your stay. You cannot get it refilled at the theme parks or water parks
Still a great value, plus a cute souven...ear..

When we stayed at POP we were able to get apple juice from the dispensers. No orange juice, though. I would get it the night before in our mugs and put it in our fridge for in the morning. The kids had it with their poptart, granola bar, cereal, etc.
