2009 MFs For All Resorts - Update Page 4

I'm a little confused by this page of postings.

Did someone start a new thread about MFs and then have a moderator merge the two threads? Did I start the 2009 MF thread when one was already out there??

Sorry if I'm just behind the curve.

I was so excited to start the thread. I felt like Dee Vee See with her bolt cutters, ok without the big beehive and Northeast accent. :yay: :yay:

It appears a 2nd thread was started and merged into yours at post 51.

Are the THV included in the budget for SSR? Any indication of how they affected the 2009 costs? I was expecting that they might help spread the fixed operating costs over a larger membership.

with THV being a separate building - the costs will be higher not lower.

Actually THV will be a number of separate villas, each a building unto itself. I was thinking about the front desk fixed costs. Housekeeping, security, maintenance, transportation may actually increase proportionally. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to study the budget materials.

I haven't received anything in the mail about MF dues. I closed this month through resale.

My use year is August. Do I pay for my Aug 09' points in Jan. 09'?:confused3

We just signed for an add on at AKV- Kidani and the points are use year August 2009. We don't start paying dues until then. That is probably what is happening with your points

You probably are not on the mailing list yet, they probably printed them ahead of time.

All use years pay for dues in January on a calendar year basis. The one exception is if a resort is opening mid-year, then dues are due then and pro-rated.

Well ... we've been owners since 2004 and haven't yet received our notice either. We also never received the mailer regarding BLT rate increase/minimum point increase. One might think mail to California is still delivered by pony express! :headache:

Percent increase

OKW-- 3.73%
BWV-- 3.37%
VB-- 6.13%
BV(SUB)-- 5.52%
HH-- 3.88%
VWL-- 3.49%
BCV-- 4.17%
SSR-- 3.09%
AKV-- 2.97%

My percentage increase in fees per point this year on my SSR contract is actually 35.1% due to the weakening of the £ againt the $.:headache:

I hope you bought when the exchange rate was more favorable to you :).

Hmm yes,
every cloud has a silver lining :upsidedow
Suppose on way I could look at is that I would actually break even on reselling my contract in $60s even though we paid $90 for it but the thing is we don't want to sell so at the moment the resale value is pretty much immaterial.
