I called this morning to make my reservation (Because I'll forget until the week before)and CRO gave me the code AEO for room only, but said there was a code for packages. (He didn't tell me what it was)The only caution that I will give you is that if you are doing room only, they will still charge you the $200.00 deposit like a package deal, not a one room lodging deposit as normal.

Thanks for the info. I recently booked a room through a travel agent. Now I'll call CRO and see which rate is better.

I am also curious about the discount rate during marathon weekend. Usually, I make a ressie for the dates I need and apply an AP rate if one becomes available. It would be great to have a discount code this far out.

I called CRO to see what the rates would be using this code at the Contemporary. I was told there was nothing available except for concierge level. We already have a room booked through a travel agent, but I just wanted to see if we could do any better. I guess not. I'm glad I booked early.

I hope the code works for everybody else.

I finally realized you're talking about the Minnie Marathon weekend!

I hadn't heard of any January 2009 codes, you made me go frantically looking to see how on earth I'd missed that information!

So, to answer the above post, you can call Disney and book a room only or a package for January 2009, but official room rates haven't been released yet, and no discounts announced yet. They will quote you now based on 2008 rates, and when rates are released for 2009 any increases will be automatically applied to your reservation.

Weird! OP said 2009 Marathon??? Anyway shouldI be booking now do you think for a room in January. Does that weekend (Jan 2009) generally book up fast at Disney?
Don't want to miss an opportunity! ;)

The code is for marathon weekend I booked my room this morning.:yay:

I know teh values book pretty quickly, but I was blae to get my parents a room at Pop in October. DVCs book really quickly, as this is a very lowpoints time. You have some time to lookaround, but I'd have it book by July or August. JMO.

i am not for sure if it is for room only we get our tickets seprately.

I booked today with the code for Jan 2009 but it didn't seem to get me anything? The code "worked" meaning she used it an a price came out, but the lady couldn't tell me what the discount might be just the total it came to. Is this specifically for Jan 10/11th weekend days only I'm wondering.
We booked at Beach Club for Jan 8 - Jan 14

I'm confused. Which is soooo easy to for me ;)

PS - don't know why I couldn't find this thread earlier :rotfl:

My experience is if Mousesavers.com doesn't have the code listed, it doesn't exist. Disney doesn't have prices released for January 2009 yet, so I can't imagine they have codes???

Just makes no sense. I'm going to email Mousesavers and see if they can look into it.

I used the aeo code when i booked my room for marathon weekend. It did work. I got the room only though. We get tickets else where. I did save with the code. I got the original price first then I told them I had a code and then got the different price. So yes it does work. But like I said I booked room only and only for marathon weekend.:)

This thread is the *only* place on the internet this code is mentioned. Not Disney's website for travel sellers, not Disney's website for guests, not Mousesavers, not any of the major Disney information websites.

It would be extremely helpful if someone who received a discount could source the code. So far we have CRO themselves told a caller about it? Is that the only source, other than this thread itself?

I booked today and asked to package it in a deal. Instead of AEO the code she used was AEQ. Seems real to to me!

Here is some comparisons I called and got some quotes from Disney 407-939-IRUN number for the "Basic" Marathon package - no tickets.
These are quoted for arriving Thurs 1/8 to Mon 1/12.
POP - 379.68 (est 94.92 a night)
Contemporary - 2,385.04
Beach Club - 1,507.52
Poly - 1,575.04

How do these rates compare to what the AEQ code is giving you?????
