Hello everyone. I was just wondering if the Disney Visa rewards Meet N Greet times are the same place and times as last year. I think it was in the backlot near Monsters Inc. It was something like 30 minutes after park opening... lasting for 90 minutes.

We loved doing this last October. We even hit it at the perfect time when Pluto was there to take over for Chip and Dale... so we got pictures with both. Used our own camera for about a dosen pictures + got the free pic. :cool1:

Thanks in advance for any info! :yay:

Great question! I'd love to know if anyone has done the VISA free meet & greet lately too...we'll be attempting it for the 1st time next week, and any recent info. would be greatly appreciated! :thumbsup2

I am so interested in this too. We always do this at Disneyworld. I wasn't aware that DL did it also.

We were there in early February and it was still back by Monsters Inc. We got Chip and Dale. I believe it was from 10:30-noon.

Does it take an hour and a half or is it just a swing in and out kind of thing?

Oh no...there was no one else there when we went and we just walked right in, got autographs and pictures and had some time with the characters. We were probably there about 5 minutes or so....

Yes it is starting 1/2 hour after park opening and going for an hour and a half. Chip and Dale are usually first up, then Pluto. You can spend as long as you want with the character(s). That's what's so great about it. If no one is waiting take your time. DD9 loves cutting up with C&D and dancing around with Pluto. :cloud9:

Kayla's mom--thanks for that info! I hope we get that lucky next week. :-)
Is it a separate building? or just some sort of a backdrop area? or are the characters just standing there waiting for someone to walk up to them?

Is it somehow fenced off or blocked off from the rest of the non-Visa crowd? :rotfl:

Is it to the LEFT or RIGHT of Monster's Inc. (as you're looking at MI)--I'm guessing it's the the right, in between MI and the Hyperion theatre?

Thanks again! :-)

Dizneydaz--thanks for your info. too! That sounds fun!!
Looking foward to it, and maybe we'll all see each other there next week!

It's a separate area off to the right of Monsters Inc. I don't remember if it's a building or tent or what..(pretty scary since we were just there last month)...but you couldn't see in there or get in because they have a CM standing out front.

Yes no non-Visa people allowed.

It is nothing like the wait at WDW. I don't know if people just don't know about it or care about it, but we have never waited in line. Just gone right back.

The characters were outside but under an overhang when we were there last year. You had to be let in to the back behind the building by a CM, though. If you weren't looking for it, I don't think you would ever see it.

Good to know.:thumbsup2 We tried to do it in WDW our last visit. We got in line and stood for over 40 minutes w/o moving.:scared1: Our youngest daughter fell asleep on my husband's shoulder and it became obvious we would not make it in before our ADRs. So we had to leave and never got to meet the characters.:sad2: Guess we'll hope for better luck in DLR.

if you are looking at monster's inc, the meet-n-greet area is to the right. we went there for the 1st time in december and waited for about 10 minutes for our turn...we had goofy!

We also did this numerous times during our trip in December. One day we saw Chip and Dale and came back 1/2 later for Pluto. On another day we went and again saw Chip and Dale and went back about 1/2 later and saw Goofy. So it kind of depends on the day on who you will see. You can always ask the CM standing out front who will be there that day. They did tell us that Mickey sometimes joins Goofy but we never got lucky enough to see him there our last trip. Also it does normally start 1/2 hour after the park opens and goes Chip and Dale, then someone else(Pluto or Goofy or whoever they are doing now), then Chip and Dale again. They rotate on the 1/2 hour. We ended up having to wait maybe 15 mins or so when we went one day but we were there during the very, very busy week of Christmas and New Year's so we knew we would have a wait.

All of this info. is great! Thanks so much, everyone!!!
See some of you next week, maybe!!

Are you sure you weren't in the regular Character meet linejust outside Innoventions? I've never encountered any line at all for the Visa one inside Innoventions.
