Are you planning the trip for all 24 people??

Yes. My wife and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary next year and we kept talking about what we wanted to do. We thought the greatest thing in the world would be to go to our favorite place in the world with our closest friends and family. Since I'm the resident Disney freak, I took on the "task" (lol) of planning the trip for everyone. Gave me an excuse to buy some Disney planning guides and DVD's to (feed my Disney craving.....)errr, I mean to help us plan better. I know I saved my family over $700 when compared to staying at the All-Star Resorts for the same time frame. Most of the people we go to church with so we see them all the time. We're converting quite a few that have never even been to Disney into Disney nuts too!

One friend of mine had not been since he was a kid and didn't remember anything about it. He has 2 children and another due any day now. He was a chaperone when we took the youth from our church to Disney last year and he cried because he wanted his 5 year old to get to go so bad. I knew I had to include them in this trip and they were so excited to get to go!

Hi - we are already on the list for March 2009 (thanks!) but I can update that we will be going March 15-21st and staying in Port Orleans Riverside. I can't wait!

Free Dining has just been announced for 2008! Doesn't that give you hope for next year? I almost called to do a 'trial run' booking just to make sure that I will know the ropes next year.

All morning I keep thinking next year at this time I will be jumping up and down celebrating (at least I hope I am and it is offered again next year)

This waiting until August for the packages for 2009 to be released is about to kill me. It just doesn't seem real that we are going until I have booked.

Hi Poohluv69, we had breakfast at Cape May in July'07 quite by accident. DH was trying to book a dinner one evening and got so carried away with chatting to the CM on the phone he came of with three ressies . The CM was Scottish and recommended CMC for the kids. Well it turned out to be one of the biggest successes of the holiday, the surroundings are lovely and the food delish but best of all was the character interaction it was the best out of all of the character meals we've been to . We're hoping to book it again for the first morning of our holiday in 2009

With free dining just announced, I'm tempted to book a 3 day weekend in September . Oh well, I'll just hold out hope for a room discount for next year, I think we are going too early in August for free dining. At least I'll be there .

I'm glad to see that others are already planning their meals for next year! Has anyone ever been to FW and did the campfire with Chip -n- Dale? We are thinking about doing that on our first night after a meal at Chef Mickey's or The Yachtsman. Any ideas?

You can make a room reservation 500 days out, but you have to call. Congrats on yourt trip!

We really want to go in March, My youngest dd will be turning 5 on the 17th, so it would be a birthday trip but i've heard airfare is too high because of spring break. So we are deciding between March or May!
If we go in March it would be the 13-21. If we go in May it will be May 1-9.

Does anyone know about airfare in march? Thanks

I don't know anything about airfare, b/c we don't fly, but I'll be the price of resorts, etc. will also be higher. More crowds too. We'll be there May 1-8, so I vote May, LOL!!! hope someone can help you with the airfare question!!
