2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

Arkansas Mom the next time you update the list can you change mine. The dates are the same but I think we are going to splurge and try POR next time.

We were hoping to go in Dec 08, but looks like 2009 is it! Probably sometime in late April (hopefully after the Easter crowds!).

This will be my kids first trip to WDW, and our first return since 1989-we stayed offsite, so this is very exciting! We are planning to stay @ the Poly.

I honestly can't wait!!!

Look at you, a newbie and yet you are planning a trip almost 2 years in advance. Great place to come and get all the info you need to make it a perfect holiday for your family. I'm jealous that you are going to stay in the POLY!

Don't worry I am obsessed as well and my husband is getting very annoyed by it....my answer to him regarding my obsession is to let us go sooner and that way he won't have to hear it anymore but he won't budge on the date...

I think my husband is getting tired of me saying "We can do _______at Disney" or " Should we eat here_____? "I t seems like I am always telling him something new that I have found out (thanks to the DIS boards) and I'm not sure he shares my excitement! LOL

My DH has taken to putting his hands over his ears and doing the "La, La, La, I can't hear you." routine :lmao:

Yuppers there are a bunch of us around but it often a surprise when you "bump" into one! Where do you hail from??

I can hardly wait gang, and the business of hubby getting annoyed ... mine is thrilled. He keeps saying "whenever i see you on DIS i get all excited cause that means you are making sure we will have a perfect holiday" Nice guy eh? I must admit his eyes do glaze over at times :rotfl2:

Hi everyone!

I'm fairly new to this board. I was a lurker before our January 2008 trip and got some great information. So, I'm back again... but planning for our honeymoon trip June 2009... so far away! :sad2: I'm hoping y'all can make the time go faster for me.

Happy planning!

Just north of Toronto.

My H is a bit more excited than I thought he would be, although he's leaving all the planning in my excellent hands! :) He's a more "let's wing it" kinda guy...but even he knows that winging it in WDW is a scary notion:eek:

I know my husband does not share in my excitment...he just offsets my obsession with his obsession with UFC...I just don't think he quite understands that there is just so much with WDW that when you find something new it is exciting...but what can I do...at least we have the DIS boards at least we know there are people out there who share in our excitement....:grouphug:

Welcome!!!!!!!! But I have to ask: how did he propose:love: ?

Thanks!! He (Adam) took me to Disney World for a week... did it on the last night. We had dinner at the California Grill on the top floor of the Contemporary Resort...overlooking the castle. Amazing!!

He planned to do it on the observation deck during the fireworks, but it rained... and there were too many people. He wanted to go see the Epcot show at 9.. but we had only 30 minutes to make it... so I tried to convince him to just go back to the resort (we had a long drive ahead of us of the next morning... he doesn't fly anymore). He insisted that we make it because he knows how much I love it. Epcot is both of our favorite parks.

We got there just in time to watch it... and he wanted to wait for the crowds to leave before we left... he hates waiting in lines for things. His plan B was to propose in "Paris." He said because he doesn't fly and he thought it would be funny like "ha ha Adam proposed in Paris and he doesn't fly." :)

So before we went walk around he wanted to sit down for a while. So we go sit on this empty bench... right in the middle... and this elderly fellow comes sit right beside me. For like 20 minutes...! He finally leaves and I pull out my camera to take some pictures. I decided to take a video on my camera because it was our last night and whatnot. So I ask him.. ."Adam, what was your favorite part of the trip?" And he looks around (to see if the guy was coming back) and says "Probably....what I'm about to do... " And got down on one knee and proposed. :) So it's on video.... And although I put my camera down because I was freaking out... you can still hear everything! You can also hear me say "wrong handdd" when he goes to put it on my right hand. :) It was pretty much perfect.

We stayed at Animal Kindgom Lodge... it was wonderful! I was so sad to come back to reality, but the pretty ring on my finger made it a lot easier to brave the 12 hr car ride home.

Takes us around an hour and a half to get downtown around 45 minutes (depending on the traffic) to make it to Pearson. Just perfect. We are taking our Daughter to Air Canada Centre on April 7th to see AVRIL LAVINGE. Planning on staying over night so we don't haffa drive home after.

My hubby is also excited -- knows that i can plan a holiday that he will enjoy (even if watching me DO the planning can drive him nutsoid at times)
