2009-2010 Vacation Planner

I've not received a vacation planner yet, is this normal? I'd like to sit down and take a look at the new points allocation away from my not too comfy computer room.

Have others received theirs?

The planners are late this year. They are usually received by now. Likely due to the point chart changes.

Yes, DVC has reallocated points starting with 2010.

I went to the member site and printed out all the new points charts. I find it alot easier to compare having them in front of me rather than on the computer.

Yes, according to a respose I received the RCI and point distribution changes are holding up the document. I wrote primarily concerning the redistribution of points that will take place in 2010. I received the scripted response but I still believe the only purpose is to charge more points for a Sunday - Thursday stay. Bottom line: with my DW vacationing habits - it will now cost me more points. In 2007 I reserved two, 2 BR units at BCV in early Dec. That was a total of 240 points. In 2010 the exact same stay will be 276 points. My points, in 2010, will not have the same value (nights of stay) as now.

I think they also wanted to wait for the VGC point chart to be set before sending out the planners. I received a new dreams book that had great pics of VGC and THV. Can't wait to see what's in the new planners! Late spring feels like a long way off

How did you get a new "Dreams" book? the one I got when I BOUGHT @ BLT doesn't even have anything about IT, much less the THV or VGC!!!

On a similar note, is it possible to get extra copies? I'm planning a big trip in 2010 w/ my parents and bother + SL and would kinda' like to give them copies if it weren't a huge deal...

But hey, one updated version would be enough to 'loan' at least!

Some folks on the VGC Founding Member list received them in the mail prior to the Jan 25 purchase start date. We don't know why as it didn't include VGC point charts, but did include BLT and AKV charts... You could ask your guide for a copy, not sure about the rules regarding sending these out...

Our guide from DWTD told us at the event, a week ago, that we should get the new planner mid to late march.

Doesn't seem pointless to me-> I try to be environmentally friendly most of the time, but I DO like collecting paper Disney stuff, so I'll take whatever DVC sends me! I also have a folder in outlook I store all my e-mails in. what can I say, I'm a geek!
