The coaching situation is a bit complicated which may be a source of the problem. One day a week they are coached on cheers by two science teachers...they might have been HS cheerleaders or something but they certainly aren't professional cheer coaches. On another day of the week, a professional coach works with them, mostly for the competition routine.
Here's what I think happened: Flyer told the teacher coaches she doesn't want to fly and they were all "whatever, we don't care" (that is the general attitude they give off). Then flyer tells the prof coach she doesn't want to fly and she says "you have to fly for competition." She probably doesn't feel like she has the authority to make the girl fly for non-competition routines.
I'm going to give it a few more practices to shake out. My prediction is that the flyer will refuse to practice stunting on the competiton routine, then the professional coach will have no choice but to choose another flyer.

It was really frustrating for her and we are both concerned with how quickly this will heal. She has a smaller comp next weekend and I think she will still have to avoid tumbling then. Her next big comp is on 12/5.
