I know many times people have asked for a good guide book when it comes to DCL. Well, I preordered 3 of them; 1 for each family in my party cruising in May. When you preorder, you are able to download a preview (the entire book) to browse thru while you are waiting for the expected release on March 15th. Well, I have read all 300+ pages of the preview and am so excited to get the book to take with us! The info is great! I am so glad I decided to get it!

Can you provide a link to this?
I have purchased my 2008 DCL passporter but didn't know there was an option of viewing it online

Thanks

I've planned all 3 of our cruises with Passporter. Couldn't/wouldn't do it without one! ;)

That's awesome. :thumbsup2 We've sailed w/ DCL before and didn't think we needed the Passporter Guide but boy were we wrong! I caved and purchased on for our '06 Cruise and it was SUPER helpful (then after the cruise, I sold it on eBay for more than half the price:goodvibes ), now I'm going to order the 2008 one for our late April cruise. I didn't know they offered the online version before hand...that's what I'll be doing tonight when everyone is off to snooze-land! :surfweb: :surfweb:

Did you preorder it throught the Passporter web site or elsewhere? The preview files are only available if you order it through the Passporter online store. HTH.

Yes I purchased it directly from Passporter's website
I received the original confirmation email
Then I received another saying that the release date was pushed to April but never received any information on being able to view it online at their site

If someone can pm me the information I would really appreciate it

This is the info from the web site:

Bonus Preview File Included! Everyone who pre-orders their copy of PassPorter's Disney Cruise Line guidebook through the PassPorter Store gets immediate access to the book's preview file, which are electronic PDF format files of the actual pages from the guidebook. This lets you to begin reading the new guidebook before it even arrives in the mail! Currently the preview file contains now contains ALL CHAPTERS of the guidebook (a nearly 17 MB download). If you pre-order your copy through us, you can return to get the latest and greatest version of the preview file by coming back here to the PassPorter Store, signing in, checking your order history for your cruise guide order, and clicking the Download Now button again. Note also that you'll need the free Adobe Acrobat 6.0 or higher to properly view the preview file. If you have problems downloading the preview file, please contact us.

When I clicked on the contact us link, the author's e-mail address popped up. I would e-mail her and I would think they would send you the file. It was jennifer@passporter.com

Hope you get your preview!

Thanks - I was finally able to get on to preview yet

I have a question. I see on the deck plans they have Ocean Quest listed to be on deck 5 for the Wonder. I though there wasn't an Ocean Quest on the Wonder, only on the Magic :confused3

Can anyone confirm this?

I pre-ordered it through Amazon, since I had a giftcard for them. It says March 21st shipment date, I think.

believe if you have another of their books you can register it & get a discount....not sure if still valid.

have the last DCL one, i'm on the fence as to whether to buy the new edition or not?

for those who have the 1st one, is their a huge change in format or moreso "updating"?

This is my first DCL Passporter so I'm not sure on the comparrison but I do love it! I have a coupon code you can use at passporter.com for the new book. PM me if you would like it. The website says it is set for the 3/15 release date, just in time for our trip!! Also if you sign up for their Passporter Club, you get a better disount, 35% I thimk, and e-worksheets and ebooks free!! I have downloaded all of them and love them all!

I preordered one (a gift for my DMom) from Amazon in mid-Jan because it said release date was Jan 28th or so. As that date came and went, I got an email saying it won't be released until early April. :sad2: I save a little bit from Amazon (and got free s/h when I got the new WDW book, too), but I now have to wait even longer to see the look on her face when I surprise her with it. She would never spend the time reading it online, so the hard copy is the only way to get it for her. (BTW, when I got my 2007 DCL Passporter a year ago, I ordered it from Wal-Mart's website and got it quite a bit cheaper [around $12] with only $0.97 s/h--just a little FYI for those patient people who want to get it for less after it comes out.)

I used passporter for the first time for our WDW trip last year. I LOVED it. When I decided to book our first cruise (Oct 2009) I pre-ordered the passporter. I got the free preview and printed it off at work (I don't like to read stuff on the computer either :goodvibes ) Anyway, I really enjoyed it and am still excited about reading it again when the book is shipped.
