2008 Birnbaum Book and DVC Contemporary

oh I wish!

Pat.... You KNOW it's happening. What better way of pre-marketing than to keep mum on a project.

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtains".

Steve Birnbaum's guide IS the official guide. And Granny, they didn't mention POR, CR, Poly, GF, or any other WDW sites that we can stay at too. Don't think this is a mistake. Probably published earlier than Disney expected. Or, more likely, SB is just working with Disney to keep anticipations high.

:)

It's coming, it's coming. But first, I think they want to be sure there's no problems with any permits or anything like that before they announce it "officially". I'm sure they want all of their ducks lined up in a row first. I also don't think they'll announce it or start sales until they've finished wrapping up at SSR... I think it will be an interesting sales competion between AKV and the CRV...but I just think that they'll only sell at 2 resorts at once. Perhaps the slip in Birnbaum's means it's getting closer tho!?

I'm predicting that if they announce and begin selling CRV too soon, it will sell out before AKV. Plus, I'm anticipating the price per point would be increased before they begin to sell.

Basically that's why we bought now versus then. I also don't anticipate many incentives being offered with the CRV sales as I believe they won't necessarily need them. :surfweb:

That's what it sounds like to me. Maybe the announcement will come in October? Let's hope!!:thumbsup2

it probably will...since I lost faith after AKV was announced & spent my stash on a Harley for DH:scared1:

I'll take one for the team though, will be happy to check into those easy finance terms I hear they offer on add-ons.;)

No Birnbaum is not affiliated with Disney, and they have been incorrect in the past. That does not mean they are wrong on this..

No, this is not correct. Disney owns the birnbaum gudie. Look at the spine of the guide - Disney Editions!

Well they definitely offered incentives for the BCV. even the guides were amazed at how fast the BCV sold out.

so hoping for incentives too. just being greedy! :woohoo:

Unless they do what they did at AKV - and use part of the CR - don't think florida laws allows them to start sells until 70% of the building is done. This is just the outside of the building - not the inside.

So they might annouce it next year - but sales won't start for quite a while.

of course we can always hope that pull the same stunt they did with AKV.

most of the suites at the CR did NOT get the rehab - they just changed the TV - the bathrooms or the furnishure was not redone.

Has anyone head any more about this? Are they going to build a Contempory DVC??

Scroll around on the boards...temporary name is the Kingdom Towers...it was in the Orlando Sentinel, though DVC has not yet announced.

Secretly Hoping it's true! Then everyone will go to the KT and leave AKV all to me!:woohoo:

Someone reported this a while back. One can only speculate. Perhaps the plan was to announce it for 2008, but it got off track for some reason. Purely a guess on my part.

That Birmbaum guide for 2008 has actually been out since late 2007 and it predates the filing with the licensing agency that was heavily discussed a couple weeks ago
