2008 BAN Wagon Support Group

I am having a hard time resisting that 50% off coupon to Michaels. I would really like the Making Memories carousel. :rolleyes1

OMG! Me too!! I covet it, and that coupon is just doing crazy things to me. However, when I went to visit it at the store a few weeks ago, it was sold out...

I am hoping they will be sold out too!!!

Wouldn't that carousel fall under organizational tools? And with a coupon? Well, that just screams "I'm keeping to the code", besides they are more like guidelines. pirate:

ac moore and michaels both have the 50% off today. and it's driving me crazy....:upsidedow
and i have to go to acmoore to get some things for ds birthday party favor bags anyway.....:rolleyes1

OOOOOOOO--- AWM, you are SO RIGHT!!! Dh probably won't like that reasoning, but what he doesn't know, won't hurt him, right???

ETA- I sure hope he doesn't take to reading the DIS boards to see what I am up too. :rolleyes1

The MM carousel is definitely an organizational tool and therefore completely exempt. Just keep your eyes to the front, buy it and leave and you'll be all good!

Well thank you all for the support... but I talked myself out of it. If I still want it, I will look for it when the next 50% off coupon comes around. I can't believe, I am staying strong. Quick, someone check my temperature! :lmao:

Well with ac moore I had a 50% for saturday, and 2x 60% off for sun/mon plus they had the jetmax cubes on sale 50%. So needless to say I finished up my cube buying for my organizaion and bought 2 sets of 12x12 with my mats and did get about 5 sheets of paper that was 40%. I also preordered the one of the new basic gray lines so I took off another online purchase I allowed myself.

I have spent some money about $150 for the month. I have not done so well, but I am done. I want to wait for some new cricut cartrides and a few of the new things coming out. NO MORE SHOPPING. Whats wrong with me? Need strenght.

OK, I have a question of what I can buy.....hope this makes sense.

CM is discontinuing the current albums. The album I'm working on is all but full, and I've started a few pages from a refill pack. I think one actual album will give me enough space that I will be caught up to August of last year, and I thought I'd stop with the current CM albums there, and start in the new 12x12 with the first day of school.

My question is, can I buy the album that I need? I'm also planning to buy an extra pack of pages and protectors, so I'll have enough to finish this plus the WDW album from last year that I'm in the middle of. My friend's CMC has some of the OLD CM albums that come with pages and have the gold scrolling on the cover, and they're on clearance!!!

Can I, oh please????? (I'm probably going to anyway, lol)

Oh, I haven't posted much on this thread since I joined, but I have not bought ONE thing this year for scrapping, and very little else either!!!

Yes you can. Albums fall under need to have items. Along with the refill pages, printing of photos & adhesive. Don't want you scrapping pages with no place to keep them safe when done.

Ok rather than reading this whoooole thing I did read the first post and the first page....Good idea.....me having an entire room devoted too and filled with scrap stuff and 4 10 shelve roler containers of paper and Stacks of those slabs o' paper and yet i still just spent $80 the other day on paper...and I was told by my BF that I blew all the $4000 I got for my tax return and I didn't put any of that towards our vacation.I need someone to take my debit card away...thought I did get a great new Juicy Purse out of it :)
So Count me in I need help (well I think you all know that by now ;) )

Little late here! LOL!
So let me see if I understand this...is this a ban for the entire year? I know that may sound silly but I just got back into scrapping again....I already put my self on the "use my stash" before looking at this thread! And to my surprise I have been....and it has really started to make a dent in my paper stash and get this one..my brads and eyelets! (for those of you who don't know me I was once refered to as the eyelet queen....just love those little things!...well more brads....) So I need to figure this out and maybe join in!

It is for the entire year, but it doesn't mean that you can't ever shop at all. Some of us have chosen "free days" that we're allowed to shop in moderation. We also have items that we consider necessities for scrapping that we can purchase if we run out. Adhesive is an example. You won't get too far scrapping if you can't stick stuff on a page:).
