2008 BAN Wagon Support Group

That's a pretty awesome accomplishment, happycampers!

Isn't the feeling of accomplishment from resisting excess spending awesome?

OK, I was able to say "NO!" to the black brads that tried to get in my cart today. I have been wanting to get some, but I don't have any swaps right now, so they would just be for "just in case" and that doesn't fit the ban rules. And all the stacks on sale, I told them "Take a hike"...

I did buy some great remnant fabric to make some runners for my DR, but that isn't scrappy, so I justified it. $40 fabric 1/2 price, will look great in my DR.

So, I was a good girl again...

:cheer2: YEAH ME!!! :cheer2:

See, I knew there was a great reason to teach - that way I am not home to watch the scrapping stuff on QVC today or tomorrow. So, I resisted the temptation, and no, there was nothing good online at their website either!!!:lmao:
I have never been to Panera - but there is one in town - geez, what is worse heavier weight or lighter pocket?????
One way or another, someone is enabling me!!!:rotfl: Caroline

I have not been to Panera either... We have talked about several times but never gone.. Maybe I'll have DH take me there in the next few weeks... no reason to take the kids till I see what its like... w/picky eaters I could end up wasting a lot of money and food...

all my kids love Panera but then again they eat salad, sushi, raw oysters etc. Yes they are weird, but they are my weirdos.

I would go with the caesar salad, the black bean soup, the broccoli cheddar soup, if you like spicy the chipotle chicken sandwich, DH recommends the frontega chicken.

Anywho very good food, quick service most of the time, and it sure as heck beats McDonalds! Check out their online menu.

My eldest would knock you over for the broccoli and cheese soup in a bread bowl. Okay, I would too. :rotfl2:

I have been reading the latest post and I am so inspired with all you ladies. Today, as I was watching QVC, I did see three items I really would like. I usually do not. As time ticked all three I liked sold out, so no buy here. I was also waiting for next month with the TSV they will feature. I did put on my list 4 online/qvc purchases.

I will have to go to AC, hopefully they will have their cs on sale soon. I need a few colors for the character swap and a set of stickers. So far no spending for 2008.

Big thumbs up for ddavis, lovingthemouse, and nemomom!:thumbsup2 Way to save!

Hey, mine too! DS's favorite food is salad with Italian dressing. He hasn't met a veggie he doesn't like. He also loves Caesar salad and he's only 2. DD traditionally has been more normal but has been adventuring out because she doesn't want to be out done by her little brother. :lmao:

great job today ladies :cheer2:

except now I'm really hungry for Panera, but the closest is about 30 min away and its by a Joann's......just say NO, resist the temptation......okay better now :rotfl:

Huge Panera fan family here too. DD always gets a ceasar salad and a chocolate chip cookie. Me, french onion soup and an Asiago Roast Beef sandwich. Yum. Too bad it is too darn cold out otherwise I'd be needing to go to Panera for lunch today, but I refuse to freeze my bippy.

On a positive note, I went to Mike's today, with a 50% coupon to buy paper. Okay, I knew the paper would be on sale, the coupon just happened to jump into my purse. I was sooo good, I only got the paper, a discounted gingerbread house kit for DD (she loves making them, great craft project on a snowy day), and shamrock confetti for a Irish Step Dance Party I am going to this weekend. I ended up using the 50% coupon for $1.00 package of confetti.:confused3 The bright side was I stuck to the scrapbooking ban even with a 50% coupon tempting me.:goodvibes

Now Ms. Moderator, I think that is worthy of me getting released from the naughty mat.:rolleyes1 Pulleeease?

Okay, so I did really well, I went to Target and didn't even look.:cool1:

Then I fell off the wagon! I went on Ebay and I crashed and burned. there is a woman who sells pre-made pages that I have bought from before who's work is beauitful, well she was sell 10 custom made (anything I want) for 86.00. That came out to less than $10.00 a page, I could do a page for that! So I bought that, as I need a professional looking book for each of my kids by December.

Can I start again?:confused3

go on now, off to the mad with Lisa. But I will you give you a reprieve if you post the link to the pages. Maybe we can scraplift!

You have to use the pages though, no hoarding!

I was so good - I DELETED my Hobby Craft e-mail with the sale info, even though they have 25% off a heat-it tool and I could use it sometime with my embossing powders, because I don't use them for scrapping  I have seen that X-shaped Xyron adhesive thing reduced down to £2.99 so I mgiht get that, as I have said I ned adhesives (and I can use it to make serendipity squares to make my paper go further :thumbsup2 ) BUT I resisted the cute new bradlets in the same catalogue.

And they said she'd never make 4 days without spending:lmao:

Went to Walmart today...bought off my list, so I was good. I usually get adhesive whenever I go, but DH got me the ATG gun for Christmas  so I'm good for a LONG time :rotfl: So, I got new Cricut mats (best price around, on my buy list). A cool tool tried to get in my cart, but I spoke very firmly to it, and it went back on the peg. I'll see it again on 2/29.

 Yay Me:banana:
