DVC usually has not published the "proposed" maintenance fee schedule for the following year until early November when the "official" notice of the Annual Meeting is sent out.
The maintenance fees are not "official" until voted on (by the Board of Directors) at the Annual Meeting. Members do not vote, we have already assigned that right to the Board of Directors.
After the vote at the Annual Meeting to approve the propsed budget, the actual property taxes for the year are computed and statements are sent ot the members late in the year. We usually receive the statements in early January each year.
Some years we have seen a decrease in the dues. It has sometimes been related to an overestimate (and payment) of the property taxes, resulting in a lowered fee for the following year. We have also seen underestimated property taxes resulting in higher-than-expected fees for the next year.
In recent years the greatest increases in the budget have been from insurance increases and payroll increases for resort CMs.
For a number of years now, we have compiled a summary of the fees for each DVC resort here on the DIS based on the reports of the dues as reported on the board.
