Morning ladies-

Hope everyone has a great day. Ian has a 1/2 day at school today so I probably won't be around much again. I went to see The Other Boelyn(sp?) Girl yesterday. It was good. Today it's back to work and maybe take Ian to do something fun in the afternoon.

From Laurie:

I swear - the first thing I do when I get home is figure out WHY I can't log on to the boards - I have been reading along, but can't friggin post!! I sent for a new password, they FINALLY sent it to me, I go on the site, and it says I don't have a registered address!!! UGHHHHHHHHHHHH - I am hoping when I go home and sign on, it doesn't ask me for a password - and I'll be ok - it's weird though, because I was able to log on w/the blackberry the other day.. so, we'll see what happens then..

So - yesterday - the boys were able to wear shorts, I had on my flip flops - WOO HOO - it is supposed to be in the mid-70s today. Yesterday we went to the mall (woo hoo) - but, I didn't buy anything, then, we went to the beach - not to sun or swim, it was way too windy - but, my father bought the boys a kite - so, they were happy, and we went to TRY to fly the thing - LOL - but, it was way to windy - but fun - they collected shells and put their feet in the water, which was chilly - but, they HAD to do it! LOL Dad cooked dinner last night, then we went down to "broadway at the beach" - which is shops and things - walked there for a bit - and then - we were home in time for American Idol! LOL I was not happy w/the result by the way - but - what can you do? I do have to say Michael Johns and David Cook - HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..

Today we are hoping to do the aquarium and some mini-golf - and Outback for dinner.. and get the stuff ready to go home.... I will be sad to go - I'll miss dad - but, I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!

Yes, the Supernanny's name is Jo Frost. My next door neighbor's daughter named Donna & her children were featured on the show in 2006. Donna also lives in our neighborhood, a couple of doors down from my parents. She had been having a rough time with her kids listening and we all jokingly told her she needed the Supernanny. She wrote in and with in a few weeks was accepted. Donna's had a very rough last several years---her 1st husband died in a car accident. She remarried and had 3 more kids (she had 2 with her 1st husband) with her 2nd husband, Steve. Steve was our boys pediatrician. Donna got pregnant in 2004 with their 4th child and when she was 6 weeks along, Steve "unexpectedly" died at home on Father's Day. They had a 9 -year- old, 6 -year -old and 1 -year- old. His 6- year- old son was in the midst of leukemia treatments and his 1 -year -old had to have heart surgery and was constantly in the hospital too. With everything going on in their lives, the kids weren't disciplined and would do whatever they wanted to do when they wanted to do it. They'd run away, swear at anyone, hit anyone, etc. Jo came for about a week and while Donna said it helped a bit, it made her feel like a horrible parent even more. I'm afraid the kids are back where they started and have been in more trouble. Here's a couple pictures of the Supernanny taxi and Keegan and Brennan (in 2006) with Jo while they were here filming:

I tried to resize the picture of the boys with Jo several times on photobucket, using both message board and web site sizes, but it's keeping it large. Any ideas other than thumbnail for shrinking it?

Hi Sandy, glad you enjoyed your movie yesterday, have fun with Ian this afternoon :thumbsup2

It's nice to hear that Laurie is having a good time :)

What a sad story Danielle, it must've been very tough for her, but what a shame that the kids are back where they started. Great photos too, how cool to meet Supernanny :thumbsup2

Well I have had a very busy morning, first with my mum and Becky, and then rushing back into town to get Becky's hair cut. It's 2pm and I'm gasping for a cup of tea after all that running around :thumbsup2

Have a great day girls :thumbsup2

Mandy - how did Becky's hair turn out? Hope you got to relax w/ a cup tea.

Hi Sandy - Becky's hair looks lovely, she just had a very good trim, but she's just told me that she wants pink streaks put back in it :faint:

Yes I've had a couple of cups of tea, and the girls have just popped round to their friends for a couple of hours - so all is nice and quiet for the moment

Have you decided what you're going to do with Ian this afternoon ?

Probably take him to the Dr. He's had a headache for the past 3 days - I'm thinking he might have a sinus infection.

I love pink streaks. I say go for it. Tori and I both had them last year. We got the bright pink hair extensions for breast cancer awareness.

Oh what a shame, as you were hoping to do something nice with him. I hope he's feeling better soon

Becky's had pink before in her hair, and when it's first done, it looks lovely and bright. Then after a few washes it turns more of a baby pink, then after a month or so it turns more blonde, which isn't quite so nice. I think she really suits the pink, it's very her :thumbsup2

Sandy, me and Michele were chatting a lot yesterday about the Cruise, and we were talking about Palo - Have you got any plans to go to Palo ?

We love Palo brunch and dinner, but I'm not sure if we are going to do either in August. Derek prefers brunch, but I was unsure about missing any time on CC. I know CC has special t-shirts for double dips and only puts them out certain times and I didn't want to miss them. In December I figured I'd wait until we were leaving to get a t-shirt and by then most of the mediums and all of the large women sizes in the shirts I liked were gone.

I'd do Palo dinner on a night we would repeat restaurants as long as it's not the show in AP or pirate night. I guess we may book them and can always cancel.

Hi ladies, I loved the pink in becky's hair it looked cute. Nicole wants to put some blue in hers this summer.

I just got back from furniture shopping with jeff. We are redoing the bedroom and need new carpeting, paint, dressers. The only thing new in that room is my mattress i bought last year..lol. Jeff was being very difficult about the dressers. I wanted a dark mahogany but he wanted more of a cherry finish. Then he wanted a sleigh bed headboard and i wanted a four poster with a canopy. It really wasn't very girlie but he wouldn't go for it. carpwting didn't happen either he has decided he wants to put in heated hard wood floors like we have in the living room. I want carpeting..You can see where this ended up..The only thing we agreed on was the paint..:rotfl2:

Are you in for the rest of the day now mandy?

Sandy, sorry ian is not feeling so well. Did u take him to the doctor?

It's a real toughie, isn't it ? As we're on late seating, we will probably have Palo dinner around 6pm, and then join the girls in one of the restaurants for a cocktail or dessert.

I think we will probably do dinner on the 2nd night or 3rd night (Pirate night), as we won't want to go to Palo on the first night, and on the last night we'll have already been to Palo for Brunch that day

It would've been so much better to have Brunch on Nassau Day, as no-one really wants to miss Castaway Cay

Decisions, decisions :thumbsup2

Yes, I'm in for the night Michele. Paul has just got in, and I'm picking up the girls in a minute from their friends - so they'll all be hungry

I love coloured streaks in girls hair. Apart from Pink, I like blue and purple streaks

So you managed to avoid any leaf raking today then ? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I would love to sort my bedroom out, but there's far too much stuff in there. I wouldn't know where to put it all :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well that is what i used to get jeff to the store. Our bedroom is a disaster i am a bit of a packrat and the bedroom is so cluttered. So i told him if we redo the bedroom i would have to get all that stuff out of there. Then he agreed to go shopping even though all we got was paint. But it's a start i can work with it..:rotfl: :rotfl:

Well it's a start Michele :thumbsup2 If I suggested to Paul to do any redecorating in the house, he'd want to use our holiday money - heck, the house can wait - I want my holidays !! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi guys- just back from the Dr. He does have a sinus infection. Nothing that will keep him down; he'll be better in no time. Thanks for asking.

We are planning on doing brunch and dinner. My MIL and her sister have never been on a Disney Cruise so I want to fit them both in. We're going to try for night 2. I really want them to experience brunch, then we'll all roll down to the beach.

Michele- our whole house needs a remodel but I'd rather cruise.

I pay for the holdays and he has to pay for the house...lol..so i want my bedroom done on his dime...:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

When we were on the Magic in December, a woman next to us at brunch was doing high tea and dinner too the same day. I can't even imagine. We have friends coming along on the 4 day we are doing in December, so we'll probably do both on that trip but on different days. I think we'll register for both in August and can always cancel. I figure it may be so hot at CC we may want to sit in the AC and eat.

I'm glad to hear Ian is doing better.
