Hi Ladies

We are down here in Texas where it is hot humid and thunderstorms. YUCK. Hopefully the storms will be over by the time of ther evening fireworks.

We are visiting family and unfortuneately when we got here my Mom was in the ICU at the Hospital. She is 84 years old and has heart and lung problems and has been in a Nursing Home for the past 8 months. But today she is doing better and was moved to a regular room, so hopefully she will be out soon and back to the nursing home, although probably not before we leave on Sunday morning.

I just stopped in on the boards for a quick update while the laundry is in the dryer.

Mandy -Great pictures. it looks like the girls had a great time!!

I paln to do some FE Shopping tomorrow, so Y'All my get some stuff from Texas

Talk to you soon

Mary Ellen

Hey Jen

Have fun with the cleaning today - I like the idea of your Bahama Mama $$$$, you should be able to buy quite a few when you've finished in a couple of weeks

LOL, I have a giggle everytime I think of Suz in the rose bushes - aww bless her :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've had a nice morning thanks. I didn't get changed till about 10.30am, which is really unusual for me. Then me and Paul went to see his aunt at the home, then we called in at a mall, where I treated myself to some make-up and Paul exchanged some pounds into $$. We've just got home and we picked up some fish and chips for our lunch - and they were delish ::yes::

Have a lovely day everyone :)

Good Morning everyone,

I have to make this quick because I've got a lot to do this morning including going to go get a rental car in a few minutes...we picked the unlucky parking spot yesterday at the ball field to get a ball right through the back of our minivan window, busting out the entire thing. It made for a long day having to deal with that on top of 2 games and crummy weather. At least we got to see the fireworks. We were actually in another spot and I told Derek we should move because it was too close to homeplate and I didn't want to worry about foul balls. We parked in the outfield, next to the 11 other vehicles from Keegan's teammates. I guess I'll have to play the lottery with those odds! The boys played well but unfortunately lost. They are playing in a different division (travel A--the hardest) than what they play in the Spring with bases 10 feet longer to each other, the pitching mound is 15 feet further and they can lead off as far as they want between pitches. These fields/rules are different than what they play in Cal Ripken league in the spring. Their other tournaments will all be Cal Ripken, so this is good experience. The other teams play year round by these rules and are awesome.

It's raining again here this morning, but the baseball tournament is still going on in Maryland and we have to leave at 11:30 to make the games and probably won't be home until close to midnight.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Good morning all! We had a nice quiet 4th here too. Just a BBQ and played baseball and Texas horseshoes. Today we are headed to Sackets Harbor to see what if anything is going on there.

Mandy- Dr Who tonight! Although I won't get to see it until Sunday night. Fish and chips sound so good. Although the only place I've gotten good ones is at Epcot.

Michele- Sorry you missed out on the beach. Shopping sounds fun though. What are you up to today? Oh and how's your thumb feeling?

Laurie- How did your 4th turn out? Did you have lots of people in the pool?

Jen- do you guys have summer soccer or is she going to a camp? Ian chose baseball camp this year over soccer. Hope you continue to have beautiful weather. Give Em a squeeze for me:hug:

Suzane- did you manage to stay out of the pools and rosebushes yesterday?:lmao:

Mary Ellen- did the thunderstorms clear by fireworks time? Hope your mom is doing better soon:wizard:

Veronica- belated Happy 4th to you. Good to see you!

Betty- did you and Taylor have a great 4th?

Danielle was your 4th filled w/ baseball? (I was posting while you were. So sorry to hear about your window)

Diane- how are you?

Have a great day everyone I'll check in later............

First time cruisers

Welcome aboard Michael and family, it's lovely to have you here. I'm Mandy, I'm from the UK and I'm travelling with my hubby Paul, and 2 DD's Kerry and Becky

You're going to love the Disney Wonder :thumbsup2

Diane-How are the girls doing with out the casts? Is your daughter getting excited to watch the summer olympics??
:

Both are doing great! Becca is working on "giants" on the uneven bars, that is where you are fully extended and you are swinging all the way around the bar in a "giant circle", then you let go, flip in the air and hopefully land on your feet! and she is working on a back walkover, back handspring on the balance beam, This is the first time in her career that it is scary to watch her learn the skills. Maybe it is a good thing we are only allowed to watch once a month!

I really need to get serious about my fish stuff. I bought the fabric months ago and now there is less than 2 months to go:scared1: I have bought some stuff along the way, but not with a plan in mind so now I have to figure out who gets what and what I need:scared1:

Danielle, Birdsboro is a little further from me, but only about 20 minutes West of the gym. There is just nothing to do there! There are outlets in Reading and Pottstown, but not sure you will have time for that. Maybe I could drive out one of the days I drop Becca at gym for 3 hours. That sucks about your van! We had rain all evening but we did get to watch fireworks, we all huddled under the back door of the van...fun!!!

Mandy, glad you have your daughter home! I wish Niki had the opportunity to go somewhere without us, she has never been away and college is going to be tough for her. We still have next summer, maybe she can get away then.

Diane

Good Morning!!!!

First, welcome to our new cruisers:welcome:

Well I am happy to report I both stayed out of the pool and all horticulture yesterday!! It was touch and go though as not only did we have the slushy machine going but they rented a sno-cone machine for the kids, and we experimented with lemonade and cherry vodka. Yum We got home around 2 and Angelina and John are both still sleeping:scared1: (lightweights:lmao: )

MaryEllen~ I am so sorry to hear about your mom I hope it all works out ok:hug:

Sandy ~Haley's best friend went to a party in Sacketts harbor yesterday. Small world isn't it? Thanks for your concern for my safety too:rotfl:

Mandy~ How was the wine bar? Have a good time at your birthday party!

Michele~Are you going to attempt the beach today? It is supposed to start getting hotter here the next few days. I wish we were all going to Castaway Cay today:beach:
Jen~ Hiya don't you worry about me I am fine and I have decided to save all my crazy antics for the cruise!! Woo hoo:rotfl2: Have fun with soccer this wee. Good luck keeping sarah out of that lake as it is supposed to get very hot and humid. Hugs to miss Em:cool1:

Laurie~ How was your party?? Anyone get thrown in the pool?:lmao: Hope you were able to see the firworks from your driveway:goodvibes

Danielle~ I can't believe that about your van. What a bummer:sad2: Good luck with your games today:goodvibes

Veronica! great to hear from you. I hope things start to settle down for you so you can catch up!! We miss you:hug:

Betty~ Hope you had a great 4th!!:goodvibes

Happy Saturday everyone else:grouphug:

Mary Ellen,

I hope your Mom is doing better. It is so painful when they are not doing well. Give her a big hug and tell her how much you love her! My Mom only lived to 72 and I really miss her!

Hi Diane
Wow that level of gymnastics is so scary to me. I think I would pass out if I watched one of my girls doing a back handspring on a 4inch piece of wood:scared1: They will have to put on a little exhibition for us on the beach. I can't wait to watch the olympics next month:goodvibes
