2007 Transatlantic and First Med cruises thread

Hi everyone, I just got back from the Panama cruise and WDW about two weeks ago. It was so much fun, and I am jealous of those going now. I hope you all have a great time!

Padalyn, I found this info about the possible TA and Baltic cruises. I have been keeping track of the 2010 thread, and from what they have been talking about, I am pretty sure these dates and itineraries are correct. Don't know the ports of call, but the info should be coming out about October 6 or 7th.

We want to "dish some dirt" about the 2010 sailings. Keep in mind, these are just rumors, but that's how most of this begins.

It looks like the Wonder will be doing 5 and 4 night sailings in June, July and August of 2010. They won't alternate, it will be two 5's and a 4 night. No idea of where it will be going, but it should "ease the pain" for those wanting to sail while school's out and want more than 3 night sailings when the Magic is expected to be overseas.

We already got the glimpse of the Magic being scheduled to be in the Baltics. However, there appears there's a twist to this as it may not be heading there straight away.

From what we've heard, on April 10, the Magic heads on a 14 night Transatlantic voyage. It arrives on 4/24 and begins with an 11 night sailing. On 5/5 there's a 10 night, on 5/15 an 11 night and on 5/26 a 10 night.

Here's where it gets interesting. On 6/5 there's a 7 night. Hmm...could the Magic be traveling from say, Barcelona to England? Are those 10 and 11 night sailings in April and May in the Mediterreanean? It would appear so.

From England, the Magic is scheduled for four 12 night sailings starting on 6/12. These are rumored to be the Baltics, including Copenhagen, Oslo and Warnemunde, Germany.

On July 30, it appears that there's going to be an 8 night sailing. We're speculating this is back to Barcelona. The schedule from there is an 11 night on 8/7, a 10 night on 8/18, an 11 night on 8/28, and a 10 night on 9/8.

Finally, on 9/18, the Magic should be heading "home" on a 14 night Transatlantic voyage.

Again, none of this is confirmed, these are "rumors."

Shh....let's be sure this is kept just among friends.

Hey Kelly - I am not seeing Anna, but if I do, I will tell her hello. I don't believe she is going on our cruise. She hasn't posted if she is. Jerry & Sherry signed on at the last minute and we are excited about that.

Everyone looked great at MNSSHP! I wish we could have been there. The crowds have been great! We are getting packed and ready to leave. Cannot wait till Saturday. Saw the pictures of the Magic in Dry Dock and got even more excited. Thanks also for the info on the Baltic. I think we are going to do the TA coming home in September!

Hey EVeryone....and greetings from Grand Cayman aboard the Magic!!

Jason and I are waiting for our excursion to line up and depart so I thought I'd post quickly. All of us TA alumni are having a great time and we miss all of you! The ship is great as always and our trip is going by way too fast!

The staff aboard the ship, including the captain, are all but confirming the rumors/suspicions about the 2010 sailings...so several of us are planning and booking as if a 2010 crossing is in fact happening. Several of us are planning on doing the WESTbound this time (which it looks like might be in September of 2010)....and if these itineraries pan out then Jason and I are probably going to do the LAST European trip and then the crossing back to the US. So who's gonna join us for either or both of those trips?!?!

Had a great time with everyone aboard the Magic. Cannot wait till tomorrow to find out what the "special" announcement is. We had a wonderful cruise and the weather was perfect. They didn't do the lounge chairs on Deck 9 after drydock but we did get the new TVs and carpets. We missed you all and had fun with the "old" group. I hope more people can join us on the West TA. Last night I ran into a lady at the Beach Club and she insisted that she had the inside scoop and there was going to be NO TA, but the new ship will premiere early. I really don't think that is right, but we shall see. Let us know when you all are coming to visit in the fall or over Christmas.

How about LAST Baltic?? Jason and I are really REALLY intent on trying to do a back to back so we get to enjoy a crossing AND one of the special cruises with all the European ports....but we really want to do the crossing BACK to the states (Westbound) which means we can't do the first baltic...we have to do the last one...*nudge nudge*

Proud to say that we are one of the first to post after the BIG announcement!
All of the itineraries look really exciting. No surprise that the Transatlantic journey is of most interest to us.

I would love to do the westbound TA this time - gaining 6 hours instead of losing them. I might actually make it to breakfast ! I also like that the westbound TA combines a crossing with Tortola & St Marteen. I'm not even worried about hurricane season anymore. After the seas we had in 2007, it just made the trip that much more fun . In my dream world we would do the last med + the WB TA. Of course, there is that pesky school thing for the kids. I'm pretty sure they can't miss 26 days of HS .

I think I am going to be doing this as well. Definitely the first Baltic, but not sure on the Barcelona to England yet, especially since most ports except Portugal are the same as our TA.
I am really excited about the Baltic cruises though. Count me in on the first one on June 12.
