Gee, I hope this doesn't start a controversy.

We are staying at Pop Century for one night before switching to the Polynesian. Do all of the resorts now have the 2007 resort mug? And if so, can we buy our mugs at Pop and bring them and use them at the Polynesian? I'm not talking about buying a mug that says "Pop Century" and using it at the Polynesian. I'm talking about the new, generic mugs with the year on them.

Thanks!!!

We stayed at POLY in early May. While we were there they still had the old mugs with the Mickey and Minnie on the beach scene. I haven't heard if they have changed them since then.

Oh, ok. Thanks for that info!!!

Even if the Polynesian is not selling the YOAMD mugs yet at the Polynesian I thought people could still use them there, because they say "Good at all Resort Beverage Island Stations".

For the record I am not telling the OP do this, I am asking about the saying of the mug because if they are good at all Resorts then I don't see the problem. I know it would look better if the Polynesian was selling the YOAMD mug, but has WDW come out with a rule if a guest does a split stay and the 1st Resort they stay at (Pop Century) sells them and the 2nd Resort they stay at (Polynesian) is not selling, then what does the guest do? Because again I mention how the mugs say "Good at all Resort Beverage Island Stations" and WDW has not said these mugs can't be used at Resorts where they are still selling the Resort logo mugs.

So, we're staying at OKW this fall. Can I fill my mug and then go into Olivia's for a meal, with my mug full of coffee?

I've got my YOAMD mug right now and it says on it: "Free refills available at our Resort Beverage Islands until the end of the stay in which the mug was purchased." I just wanted to clarify the wording on the YOAMD mug. :)

But does that mean if you do a split stay you can use the same mug?

Others on here have said yes you can use the same mug, if both Resorts your staying at were selling the same mug. When you think about it that makes the most sense and no one would know where you 1st purchased the mug.

Thanks for saying the correct terms of the mug.

I do wish that all the resorts would go generic. While I do like the different designs at all the resorts, it makes it just too difficult and costly when changing over resorts during one stay. One year (2001 or 2002 ?), we split a 5 night stay at the WL.....then switching over to the AS Music for the last two nights to be with our inlaws. Well, I walked into the Music food court with the WL mug and got publicly scolded by a CM. I could not believe how she admonished me in front of everyone in the food court line at the Music. There was no way I was buying 2 mugs for a 5 night stay. We should not be penalized for switching resorts. I totally understand about not using them between different vacations---but this was one vacation. I personally feel, that if they are going to force you to buy another mug for the resort you switch over to, then they should prorate the cost of the mugs. For instance, if you're staying at the WL for 2 or 3 nights, pay a lesser cost than someone staying for 10 nights. Then I could see paying for another mug for the second/third etc resort you stay at. Some people switch between 3 resorts during one stay.
So, can anyone tell me which resorts have the generic mugs ?

You sure can jklms ! Enjoy your stay at OKW !

The plan is for all the Resort counter service locations to all sell the YOAMD mug. It's just a matter of time before the remaining Resorts sell out or stop selling the Resort logo mugs.

I don't know which Resorts are selling the YOAMD mugs, however I am sure someone else can answer that for you.

FYI...the refillable mugs at OKW do NOT have free refills....they are $1.00 to refill and as far as I know the only place you can get them refilled is at Goods to Go (unless you are there when the snack bar by the Turtle Pond pool is open), which may or may not even be open when you go to Olivias for breakfast.

Also FYI they keep a pot of complimentary coffee in the entrance to Olivia's in the early AM hours before the rest. opens.

As for whether you SHOULD take your refillable mug into Olivia's....that is another question....would you walk into Denny's for breakfast and take your cup of coffee from McDonalds with you? Would you walk into a neighborhood restaurant and carry your Big Gulp from the gas station next door with you?

I haven't bought the refillable mugs at OKW for about 2 years now (summer 2005), but they were free refills then ? This is news to me..........

I will be buying my first mug this trip and I have to say I was hoping for a resort mug. Oh well, I'll have to hop around the resorts filling my mug at the different food courts! LOL!

I just got off the phone with OKW resort. The mugs are $11.99 ($12.77 after tax) and all refills at Goods and Turtle Shack are free. Just wanted to confirm or deny the above statement.

Just got back today from a split stay. The mugs at POP were YOAMD design. We moved to the Poly on 6/14. They also only had YOAMD mugs.
