Does anyone know when they will release the rates for 2007? We are wanting to book a trip for May 2007....but would like to have an idea on how much to start budgeting for.

Thanks!

I don't know when the rates come out but I am budgeting about 5% more than current rates for tickets and room for our planned Aug. 2007 trip.

Also planning on 2007. I hope I can make a room ressie early (next month), then have the rate adjusted for any increase. Im awful at saving $ and paying for the room this far out is a huge relief, if I'm allowed

Another planner for May 2007 here.

I can't wait to book our trip. DH and I leave for a cruise on 1/8/06. But, when we get back it is all WDW planning :hyper:

I just base what I'll need to save on the current room.park pass rate and over estimate everyhting else.

The room-only rates for 2006 were released on May 18, 2005. Figure 2007 rates will be released in mid-to-late May, 2006.

Disney used to allow booking YEARS in advance. They've since stopped that - and now, you can only book within a 500 day window. My guesstimate is that that's about 17 months.

I haven't tried in a while - but formerly, when you wanted to book for a year whose rates hadn't been published yet - you would make a deposit based on the current year's rates. Then, when the rates were published for the year you were going, you needed to pay any difference.

I'm not sure if they're still doing that - but it's worth a shot. :)

Count us in as another 2007 planner. We just got back Dec 4th and can't wait to go back. We are bringing my parents in 2007 but they don't know it yet. It will be their Christmas present next year. They have never been and I want to share the magic!! Hope everyone has fun planning!!! :cool1:

I'm arriving at Orlando January 5th, but as I live outside USA, I was planning to buy and pick the tickets at ticketmania.

Do you think that I'll pay more for the park tickets ? :guilty:

What do you advise me to do ?

Thanks ! ;)

There's two sides you would need to consider before buying your park tickets.

On the very positive side - by buying your admission now, you would protect yourself against increases in price.

On the negative side - if a package discount is released, you would then have to put at least a one day base ticket on your package. In this instance you still may end up saving money though.

To answer your question though - no. By buying in advance you will NOT pay more for park tickets. I don't think there's ever been a price REDUCTION on the tickets. (With the exception of the entirely new Magic Your Way system - where you can pay less by not buying certain options)
