Hiyas... I don't post too much on here but have picked up loads of tips and tricks over the years from these boards and also had many laughs (yes sometimes spraying my computer with tea!) so I would like to thank you all for your help and humour.
Our list of Cast Members may become rather confusing and most of our plans are 'subject to change.'
Me Jill (31). I'd like to claim that I was the sanest member of the Invasion Crew but I'm not. I am also the chief organiser and have the rest of the crew well trained to just agree with my plans - they know it is easier this way.
DH (30) - Agreed to marry me in Disneys Wedding Pavillion in Oct '04 bless him. It is his entire fault that I got in to the whole Disney thing as his family has been going there most years since they were kids... lucky gits! He is quite laid back, badly needs a break from work and loves thrill rides.
DBIL (Turns 25 the day before we go) - Knows the parks like the back of his hand as he and DH were frequently set free there by their parents with their walkie talkies to do their own thing in the parks as teenagers. So laid back I think he sometimes goes in reverse! Though when he and DH get together there is normally some mischief about so DSIL and I may have to be on our toes.
DSIL (25) Married DBIL last June and honeymooned at Disney. (Can you see a running theme with all our family?) There is nothing to this girl and she eats constantly chicken, chicken and some more chicken, so I am pondering asking KFC to sponsor her.
DH and myself are going for 3 weeks, we are travelling out with DBIL and DSIL who are staying with us for the first two weeks and then heading home. Next it gets complicated The day DBIL and DSIL fly home my DB, his wife and 2 kids fly out to start their 2-week holiday, they are staying on I-Drive.
The next day my DMIL, DFIL and another DSIL fly out to start their 3-week holiday and are staying at Boardwalk where we will be that week. I told you that it would get complicated and congratulations if you have got this far without trying to draw out a family tree!
We (we = the 4 main people above boy is this going to pickle my head) are staying at Saratoga Springs for the first week from June 15th) and then transfer over to the Boardwalk. DBIL and DSIL are there for 1 week and 2 weeks for DH and myself thanks to being able to buy some of DFILs DVC points from him. We are sharing a 1-bedroom villa, and alternating which of us gets the bedroom. We all get on really well so I cant see there being any issues.
We (*cough* I) have almost all our mornings planned for the first two weeks, shopping days fitted in, a lunch at Crystal Palace (Tigger is my favourite character), Dinner at Nine Dragons in Epcot, a few more shopping days and a Fantasmic Dinner Package. We have also booked tickets for Cirque and have an ADR for Raglan Road afterwards. I have also made an ADR for DBIL/DSIL at Citricos for their wedding anniversary and more shopping!
We will be naughty DISers and sneak over to USF and IOA twice and are going to Bush Gardens for the first time. All of us except DSIL really enjoy thrill rides (even though I am totally terrified of heights) so we do enjoy doing these parks, but Disney is home.
At this point my DBIL better not be on reading these, doubt he is but you never know. Going to go for it anyway. As we are flying out of Dublin early on Friday morning (going via Gatwick) the 4 of us decided to travel down to Dublin on Thursday afternoon and have a nice dinner together to start our holiday off nicely. It also happens to be DBILs birthday on the Thursday so I have bought some balloons and a banner to decorate our room. We have separate rooms so I will do this before we go to dinner and set out the champagne and small birthday cake that I am going to get him so we can have a little party.
It is also DBIL/DSILs 1st wedding anniversary when we are out in Orlando so I have got more banners and balloons to decorate our hotel room there. Will pick them up something nice to drink and possibly a small cake or some chocolate covered strawberries for another treat.
Anyways, I think I have waffled on enough so will stop for now.
I cant see me doing a blow by blow trippie when I get back, it will more be a highs/lows and anything that made me giggle report. Off now to count down the hours!!
