2007 International Food & Wine Festival (Marketplace Booth Details Now Available!)

Guess what just came in my mail? A very large three page brochure on the Food & Wine Fest Programs!! Kind of late to be of any help. But it sure is pretty! Everything looks as posted, no surprises. Of course the concert for 10/19-21 is still TBD!

I have not received a booklet yet? Do you know who sent it? Disney or DVC?:confused3

Already booked what we are doing this year @ F&WF, just wishin I got the brochure, a little tease before going :sail:. First year booking any events @ F&WF so prolly won't get the brochure.

I'll try & see if I can scan & post it for you. But I'm not sure it will work, it's larger than an 8x10 & 3 pages front & back. Sorry didn't mean to make you fell left out! Believe me you're going to love the fest!

Hi kabuki! Are you ready for a little more food & wine? How was the DL food & wine events? Hope y'all had fun! Coming back to Nola soon?

As you've read, I seems to be from the DDE.

I'll be there too - excited to see what this new dinner is all about!

I wonder how many of us are going to the South African Wine Adventure?

It would be nice if we could have a face to face (depending on the amount of wine imbibed).......

Another DDE card holder - we got our F&W mailing today. It is pretty cool...will make a nice keepsake. :thumbsup2

Hello Shovan! I am SO ready for Food and Wine and Fun! The DL Taste was a bit smaller PFTS, they have only a couple bugs to work out. We hope it is back again next year. I have tons of pictures from it, didn't post them but would be happy to if anyone is interested!

We want to get back to Nola. We thought of September but I think will go back for my B-day in April. We had a blast! Again thanks for all the info!

My husband and I are going! We are coming in a day early to this and HHN the day before! Looks great!

BTW, I got Jorge. When I told him I wanted to book PFTS, he kept asking "But which restaurant?" LOL. Then he apologized when he realized it was a special event. He put me on hold for a few seconds but then came back and booked it for me.

I got the no refund schpiel, but I didn't get the ID and attire schpiel.

Another thing I forgot to ask about was the actual tickets. Do they mail them or are they picked up at the resort?????

I do not know if it will change for this year, but I never got tickets for any of these events. They check you off on a list.

I've set up a DIS-meet thread on the Just-For-Fun board for anyone attending PFTS on October 20th who'd like to meet up and share the food love (and maybe a table or two) that evening. Just look for the date and post on the thread!

It seemed like a good idea to have a single place that was easy for everyone to access without bogging down other F&W related threads.

Stop on by and say hello - hope to see you in October!! :goodvibes

No big deal, just wanted to see a little something from Disney. Anything out of Lake Buena Vista, FL is accpeted with a big smile at my front door, like my MVMCP tickets that showed up yesterday, yea!!. Been doing the F&FW since the first year it started in 1995, this will be the first time we scheduled any of the eating events. Usually it's enough to just walk around World Showcase and enjoy the food and drink, trying something different this year.
Thanks for the info...

Has anyone ever done the food and wine pairing in France? DH was thinking it may be a nice change.

We have done the France Pairing 3 times. Three years ago there were three courses served, a salad, a course containing some pate & cheese and a course of shrimp and something else that I don't recall. The past two years they have started with a salad and then they bring out a plate of cheeses & meats. The description for this year sounds the same as the last two. It was very enjoyable but not as filling as some of the other pairings we have attended including the France one three years ago. Since it is described exactly the same as the last two years we will be skipping it this year (we're doing a Wine School instead). They vary the presenters each week but I believe they serve the same wines. We didn't care for the presenters we had last year but the guy we had the previous year was wonderful, very informative, he has hosted some of the free wine seminars. This is a good one to do if you are planning to have Dinner afterwards or attend the Party for the Senses as it doesn't fill you up like some of the others.

I know the feeling! Anything in the mail from Disney makes me smile! Since 95, Wow that's cool! You'll enjoy the events, we did PFTS & a pairing last year & loved it. Doing the Party & a couple of pairings this year. Have fun!

Does anyone have any info as to why the Mexican Regional Feast isn't available to book? We're hearing the same thing as with the Sake/Sushi/Sashimi food and wine pairing. That one appears to have something to do with the restaurant rehab. No one we've talked to on the phone knows why that particular Regional Feast isn't available yet.

Otherwise, we got everything we wanted:

10/5 - Exquisite Evening
10/6 - Cheese Tasting & PFTS
10/7 - Discovering Wine @ Citricos (Dinner @ Narcoosee's - never tried before)
10/8 - Hoping to put Japanese F&W Pairing here (Dinner @ Marrakesh - another new one)
10/9 - V&A Chef's Table!!! (Special occasion - taking my parents there since their 30th wedding anniversary is the following week)
10/10 - Regional Feast: Mexico (hopefully - couldn't try this new event last year)
10/11 - Coral Reef F&W Pairing (dinner @ food booths)
10/12 - South African Wine Event (can't WAIT for this one)
10/13 - PFTS
10/14 - Come home :(

We've never done this much before, but it's been a crazy year, and we felt like splurging. We're definitely going to be rolling home... :rotfl:

So we all have reservations and are waiting.

patiently.
