2007 International Food & Wine Festival (Marketplace Booth Details Now Available!)

Guess what just came in my mail? A very large three page brochure on the Food & Wine Fest Programs!! Kind of late to be of any help. But it sure is pretty! Everything looks as posted, no surprises. Of course the concert for 10/19-21 is still TBD!
Why did you get that?? Because of attending something last year?? Just wondering who gets those, will I get one.....

I got one too. Maybe it is because I have a Disney Dining Experience card?

They've posted Juice Newton for those dates.
Forgive me for not swooning;)

Your story and mine are almosty identical. But after over an hour in total I got my PFTS on 10/20 booked!

I'm still ticked off about the phone, someone else in my neck of the woods, told me they called at 6:03 & was on within 5 minutes!!! ARGHH!

You have to come meet up to say Hi! olboyshoi will be setting up a meet thread soon for the 10/20 PFTS crowd! Sounds like we'll have a crowd there!

We did attend a couple of events last year, PFTS & a pairing. It's addressed in my name only, so that makes me think it's because of last year's bookings. If it were DVC related it would be addressed to the family name.

We're AP holders, DVC members, and Disney Dining Experience members and didn't receive anything. Of course, if it came today then I won't know until I get home.

It'd really be nice if they'd send the actual program guide out about a week before it starts, but that's probably too much to ask.

We received our brochure on Saturday. It was addressed to my DH.

We have a DDE card in his name, I wonder if that is where they got the info?

Yes, it could be because of the DDE card! Yep, I just checked & our DDE card is in my name, so that's must be it!!

Uuuughhhh!! :sad1: I think I'd rather TBD!! Well I won't have to worry about scheduling the concert in on those nights. ;)

Well, we just got ours in this afternoon's mail. This is a big one compared to the one mailed last year. Nice to have for reference though...even if we already made our ressies. :rotfl: We have DDE too and have also attended F&W Festival events in the past years...whatever the reason for getting the program, I'm just happy we got one.

Sad to say that nobody on the Eat to the Beat schedule really thrills me. Guess we will be skipping that one. :sad1:

Kind of nice though you had an actual brochure to look at before doing your bookings!!! We hope to see you there!

I received my brouchure last week (not sure which day because I was on vacation, but it was here when I got home on Saturday). I have an AP, I'm a DVC member, I have a trip booked on property during the time of the festival, I attended an event last year, and I have the DDE card. I'm guessing one of those triggered the mailing, most likely either the resort ressie or attending last year.

I got the same thing today. My first thought was "too late for some people, some of these are already sold out." But it's cool to have, even if it wasn't very useful. This is the first time I've gotten any mailings for the Food and Wine Festival! :)

I'm planning on ordering DDE. Do you think it would be a waste to order it before our F&W trip? I was thinking about ordering in time for our January trip so it would be valid longer.

I'm thinking we may be snacking more around the Festival and the discount doesn't apply to the events we've booked. We've only made 2 ADRs for this trip. Biergarten and Turf Grill.

I just got the F&W brochure today, too. I bet it's because of the DDE card. Too bad we don't get a DDE discount on the F&W Festival events!!! I'm so thankful for the DIS. :grouphug: I would have been very upset if I had gotten the brochure on the day bookings open up, only to find out that half of the events are sold out already! :sad2:

I still can't believe our reservations are finally made. October can't get here fast enough! :goodvibes

Already booked what we are doing this year @ F&WF, just wishin I got the brochure, a little tease before going :sail:. First year booking any events @ F&WF so prolly won't get the brochure.

If you're not doing a lot of full service dinners besides the F&W events, I'd wait on the DDE till your next trip. We're doing 7 events, but also dinners at Cali Grill, Jiko, Yachtsman, Citricos, Narcoosees, & Artist Point. So we'll definitely be using it this trip and the money saved on wine and cocktails alone will pay for itself.

Thanks
After I thought about it, I figured it was smarter to wait.
