2007 Fall PIN CODES

Did you just call Disney to find out if the pin is attached to your name? I am having issues with email lately and don't know if I am entitled to anything.

I'm pretty sure you can only do one or the other on the discounts. AAA or the PIN. Doesn't seem like a whole lot of savings to me unless you figure the PIN code is better than the AAA savings. SO the PIN code is probably a better savings for someone who does not have a AAA rate. I think they just are stating what they saved from their AAA packages. I would be VERY surprised if the AAA rate stood and they applied a code over that. That would be a new change, ONE that would be welcome of course since I am a AAA member!

This is exactly the case. ONly one code at a time. Like I said, the pin code we received is better than our AAA discount. Our room only ressie with a AAA discount was $1222. The discount with the email pin made our total $1134. That's an $88 difference. All in all, for us, it's more than that because we hadn't bought a AAA membership yet. We would have had to spend $52 for that(if I'm remembering right frm the AAA mail we get). So, we actually have saved $140 because now we don't have to buy AAA.:)

I received a pin today, and saved $61.30 off of 5 nights at POR. That is on top of my AAA discounted rate.

I was kind of shocked that they sent me a pin, as I already had a ressie, and have gone each year for the last 3 years. But who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth? :cheer2:

I got the email and saved also. We booked a disney reservations based trip in 2005, 2006 and 2007 are thru a AAA travel agent. So when I called to price it out the cm said we havent seen you since 2005, thats probley why you got the email. I wasnt going to tell her otherwise, but it might be what sparked the email for some of us. It save me another $320ish.

OK, I called yesterday to see if there was a PIN attached to my profile, and though I had 2 profiles, nothing... :(

Well, I get home today and in my mailbox is a postcard with a special offer for me at a particular webiste with my last name in it. I went to it and it appears I have a special code to book with. Gonna try tonight and see how much I save.

I wonder if this is the same code everyone else has been getting?

We have a reservation through AAA for a package staying at the Wilderness Lodge with the dining plan. I compared the same package directly with Disney and my package is less expensive by about $300. I recevied a pin code and forwarded the info to the AAA travel agent, She called Disney and was told that the rate we have is cheaper than the pin code rate. That tells me I can't have both the pin code discount and the AAA discount.

According to my email the discounts are good from 9/30-11/19, 11/24-11/28 and 12/8-12/23. So the blackouts are in between those dates.

When you get these codes in the email, what does it say? I mean can you see that it has a code right away or do you have to read it all before you see the code. I'd hate to think that if I read them fast I might miss it.:lmao:
Thanks. And Congrats to all that got them.:thumbsup2

I called Disney directly after booking with AAA and I got a package deal with a pin that they said was attached to my name(never received email) for 5 night in the POR with 4 day base tickets for 1349.60. That comes out to 106/night for the room since there is no discount on the tickets. There are two adults and 2 children! That sounds like a great deal to me. They didn;t have the POFQ with the pin and package so we are going to stay at the POR.
AAA got me a room only witht the pin for 725.00 for the 5 nights. That is 146/night. I think it is worth the extra savings to switch to teh POR? Did I do the right thing? I love the POFQ.
How are the buses at the POR? I've heard horror stories...I might just walk to the POFQ and catch a bus there!

This whole pin/code system stinks! I have used the computer at my parents house to do disney stuff and signed up their email as well as my own at home. Wouldn't you know it, THEY get the pin code email. I called to see if I can use it since it was my doing and they say ,'nope , not unless they are coming with you.' :headache:

I received a post card in the mail for the same offer as the OP and I threw it away until my sister told me about the codes/ pin numbers. (New to all of this and planning my first trip ever to the World.) I am already booked for 8 days/7 nights at ASmo and have purchased the dining plan and have park hoppers. When my TA talked to a CM regarding this offer the CM told her the code wasn't valid because we were on the dining plan. I was just wondering why that would matter and figured who else to ask but the everknowledable dissers.

We booked with our pin code and dining plan. The CM was very helpful and said she knew it HAD to work. She put me on hold and investigated further and said she had to have a code to put with the pin to make it work for dining. She had me on hold awhile but told me she had what she needed, thanked me for my patience and Voila! my package saved me $668 at a mod.

I would have your TA call back.

Thanks for the reply Mary. I talked with my sister tonight and she also received a post card today... she called disney herself and the price they gave her was 400.00 less so I will have my TA call again in the morning. Heres to keeping my fingers crossed.

I received the pin post card today also!! This was the first one ever!! We are thinking about maybe a Thanksgiving trip with it.

Mary1025, what a great savings!!

I received a pin code and tried to apply it to our Wilderness Lodge stay for 10/3/07-10/9/07 and they were sold out. She offered me Ft. Wilderness cabins or Saratoga Springs and I passed. :sad2: Too far from MK as we have a 2-year old.

:guilty: I haven't recieved any code either. Did everyone get these in the mail...in the email...or both. Can I call up and ask if there is a code attached to my name????

This sounds exactly the same as the pin which saved us $500 switched from POFQ to POR.

Mary1025, what a great savings!!

I was so excited. An extra nice serving of pixie dust! I took out the dining and park passes and it came out to a 40% savings on the room. As we are going during a busy time, I was extremely pleased. I don't think there would ever be free dining during Thanksgiving and the week after, so this is really a good deal for us
