2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

We leave on the 20th, so we have 28 days yippeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Joannel,We are trying very hard to move to Florida. On our last trip in July we looked in the Disney area and we liked the winter garden area near black lake which has alot of new homes. We will start taking weekend trips early next year and looking at area's we picked out along the east coast.I would like to try some places along the gulf coast but we have not visited that side of the state since 1987.Maybe you or others could give me some tips on what are good places for my family to start looking at.My kids are ready now to move.

Tiggerguy, we love NWFL. We live 5 minutes from the beach. The air force sent us here. Once the kids got to be middle school age we decided to stay. They moved around enough in elementary school. The beaches are beautiful and the people are very nice. We have very little crime and drugs. The only down side is the lack of good jobs, the Airforce is the main employer, and of course hurricanes. We have been lucky the last 2 summers. My boys loved growing up on the beach, they surf some, lots of their friends have boats and jet skis. They just spend all summer on the beach. We have been here since 94. It took me a while to find a good job. I do accounting.

You should come up this way and look at Destin, Fort Walton, Panama City.

Just got home from work. Amanda is now so excited she is making me crazy. We are only 24 days out and the most organized person in the house (me) has not started getting organized. Time to start the list.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

26 days 10 hrs 31 minutes

I printed out the DCL sheets. 2 total. one titled "Guest Information for your Disney Cruise Line travel party" and one called a "Payment Authorization Summary"

Does that sound right?

Hey all DCL Crusiers

So far, I have seven fishermen committed to the expedition

Some of those individuals who have responded, have not provided their stateroom number. If you are interested in being part of the Disboard fishing expedition, please e-mail me at themallons@aol.com. So I can update my list which I will share with you after October 7, 2007.

Info needed includes name, stateroom number and number of fe's. If you need information about the fe history, there is a great website that has directions on how to make a fe to create you own "wonder"ful fe. The website is part of the Disboards discussion forum, just search for fish extender.

For my fish extender "bait", I was thinking of bringing something that Buffalo is famous for but since the temperature at Castaway Cay is 79 degrees, I don't think southwest airlines would appreciate melting snowballs. Anybody have a desire for snow? I have another idea that is cooking!

Kay, congratulations on your son coming home! Like everyone else, I felt like an owl when they announced the disney legend and ambassador. I did some research and I am getting more excited about the legends. I wonder who else will be there?

DH and I will be dressing up for the ball and I just finished sewing my wench costume pirate:

I am not going to have any room left in my luggage for clothes and other neccessities with all the added stuff we are bring.

Have a great Sunday and Happy 1st day of fall (tears as the snow is coming)!
Pauline

Hey Pauline, I don't envy you and the snow. I am originally from NY. Went to St.Bonaventure for college and spent a few years in northern Maine. I don't miss it at all. I will take the beach any day. You could bring us some wings!!!!!! I do miss good NY pizza & wings.

Have a great Sunday.

Pauline (aka Captain of the Fishing)
I emailed you but I'm not sure if I included the stateroom. Our stateroom is 6004 and it's Amanda and I.
Thanks for doing all this. It will be great. If you bring the snow from NY, I will bring the lake effect wind from MI. BRRRRRRRR!!! It's too early to even think about that. Thanks goodness for Castaway Cay and the tropical temps.

I jumped the gun on the forms and had them filled out the moment we where able to.

I'm ready to board now - it's been a week and I'm having withdrawals :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a great day - I'm on the way to Church to see my g/daughter sing - it should be beautiful

Good morning Mary
Nancy and I just finished filling out the boarding info you had linked to Disney Cruise Lines. does that mean we have fillid out most of the info they will need and that will expidite our boarding. I know on the 2005 Cruise we had all kinds of paper work to fill out at the termial before boading.
Have a Magical day Mary

4 weeks Yahooooooooooooo...........

Just print out the page to sign, they will take it when you check in. I think they send us a bahama customs form with our luggage tags. Other than that I think everything else is on line.

Have a great Sunday every one. We are still getting rain..................

Dan - as Joanne said just print out the page when you are finished and sign it. You'll get the Bahamas forms with your luggage tags and that needs to be filled out as well (since Castaway Cay is in the Bahamas). We just print them out, tuck them in our passports and present them at check in. A few minutes later we have our KTTW cards! Fast and easy!

Mary and Joan
We are all set now I found them printed them out and they will be with us.
When Nanc and I did that is morning we didn't notice it . Thanks for the info.
I think we should be all set to board.
Mary have you heard anything about Cruise polo shirts llike we had two years ago. I know we purchased them on line before we left and received on board.

 :yay: :yay: :yay:

Dan - they did the shirts different last year. They were available in the onboard gift shops and you didn't pre-order. I liked being able to pre-order them but many said they liked looking at them first. I'm hoping they have some special ones this year as well. I'm also hoping they aren't white as they have been the last two years just because we have too many white shirts and white and I don't always last looking good too long. :lmao:

In case anyone wants to know, the Travel Channel is having another Disney afternoon. I always enjoy watching these shows, even though I've seen them everytime they come out.

26 days and counting before landing at AKL.

Not sure if they are doing the photopass on board, I will try to find out.

But we will be at wDW too. I will get back to you.

When we were on the ship in July they were NOT offering photopass. I think they won't move to this option, since they print right on board and that's how they get everyone to buy the packages and pay before they leave. I bet with photopass they would lose a lot of sales.
