2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Good morning everyone!

The Bahama form is the one paper form that only comes with your documents and isn't available online.

As for the website I'm hoping that they will start updating it more and more as we get closer.

The good news is that they are confirming we'll have a pirate night so those who want to dress up can. Linda - do you think you could get a photographer for a group shot again? Linda (seaulater) arranged for a photographer between early and late seating dinner last year for this group photo.

Pirates.jpg

Not a problem. They know me way too well in Shutters. Okay, we will schedule 7:50 p.m. Pirate Night for the pirate photo. Be prompt, as the photo will be taken at 7:55 p.m.

AARRGGHH!!!!

Not much of an update except for the Pirate night and when the DVC photo is right??

Other than that I didn't find anything new.

acourt - Congrats on the 2 sizes!!! :bounce:

That's all I saw as well. Was hoping to hear about at least one legend!

Hello everyone,We booked our members cruise on December 7th(Our Anniversary) and we got a 2nd chance call just after getting the news we did not get the lottery pick.We will be staying 2 nights(10/19-10/21) at the new Animal Kingdom Villas. On to the members cruise staying in a cat 10 room #2035.We only had a choice of cat 8,9 or 10 so to save points we took cat 10.We did the Disney 4 night last November staying in rooms 7505 and 7507 which is a cat 10 rooms so we dont mind the inside cabin again.I would have like a room with verandah but those rooms where already filled. On the back end of the trip we will be staying at Saratoga Springs for 4 nights with our 2 oldest daughters flying in to finish the trip.Only 3 of us (wife, daughter and myself) are going on the cruise this time.
i would like to make any gatherings that will be taking place so keep me in mind.

Thanks tiggerguy :thumbsup2

Welcome aboard! Check out the first post on this thread for how to send your info to us for the web page. I see you have already voted in the DIS meet poll.

where do we meet at 7:50 for the picture.

We meet at the Ariel statue in the atrium. Right outside of Triton's. Those on early seating might want to alert their servers. We had to take our desserts to go. You can't see it in the picture but I'm hiding a mickey bar in a bowl behind Ariel. :rotfl:

Welcome aboard tigger guy. If you want to be linked to other disers for dining send me your full names, ages and cabin numbers and if you late or early.

Thanks so much for the kudos for the weight loss. I really appreciate. I have a long way to go, but I know that I can get there. Remember talking about those early morning walks? I will hold all of you to it!!! If its early and you hear someone knocking on your door, it won't be room service. :rotfl2:

Tiggerguy ---- let us know if you want to car pool in a van with some others of us.

We are going to get a van (hopefully 10 people) from WDW to PC and then back to WDW.

One other couple going is also staying at Animal Kingdom.

The cost is going to be around 35.00 per person round trip.....still working out the details.

you can pm me if you are interested.

Hey all!

I have not posted since waaaaaaay at the beginning when we all scrambled to make our reservations.

Who was maintaining the list of names and cabins? I have an addition; I was able to add my aunt to our room :dance3: She is SO excited!! It was just going to be me and my mom (celebrating my 40th birthday and her 60th birthday) and we decided to bring her sister so we could celebrate her birthday a bit early too!

How are most folks planning on handling transportation? We are at Beach Cluba couple of days before the cruise and I reall didn't want to do Disney Transport.

I saw a post a few back someone mentioning Bahama's paperwork. What exactly is this? I have my brown pack from Disney and do not recall any Bahama paperwork and sifting thru it now do not see any. Is this something I should have gotten in the mail ahead of time or should it be something they have yet to send?

you will get it in the mail a few weeks out.

If you wan to link up for dining send me your full names, ages, cabin numbers and if early or late seating.

Welcome back!!!

Welcome back! I'm the one doing the web page with the listing. Full information is on the very first post.

Joanne is linking dining and bgsnmky is organizing some transportation to the port.

We are also talking about having a DIS meet the Saturday before the cruise. Here's a link to the thread where you can vote. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1526461 Right now it looks like 3pm at the Beach Club is the popular choice.

Hope you stay around and chat with us more now that we are getting closer!

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to remind everyone especially since we have so many first time cruisers - that we have some tips on the web page. Hopefully it will answer many of your questions about forms and luggage tags. Also there is a Microsoft Word document of "tips of the day" that I did for the last couple Member Cruises. Many asked me to put it up on the web page for those cruises so I've put them up on ours as well. Hope they help you all.

Mary,

Do we need to bring food & drinks to the meet?

Mary,

I don't think that is necessary. Last year someone brought cupcakes but that was because the meet was also kind of a surprise bridal shower for one of the couples that go married the weekend after the cruise. Of course if someone wants to bring something I'm sure no one would object. :)

We'll have the packets with your buttons in them so anyone coming to the meet can get theirs a day early.

Not sure if Linda and Kay are coming over for the meet but I bet if they are Linda will also bring the mini navigators she's doing.

It is really more a chance for everyone to meet and get excited about the cruise.

Our very first DIS meet we tried to organize was on the 2003 Member Cruise. We had a small group at the Radisson the night before but it was kind of a somber meet as that was the same day the shuttle was lost. The next day the meet was at the Sailaway party and while it was fun and well attended it was hard to hear and really get to know people. That's why we do the ship one at 3pm and why one the day before works well too. Both are quieter times for people to really mix and mingle.

yep, we aren't sure of the final plans yet. Have to sit on Linda and have her make up her mind !!!! - if we can keep her home long enough and then I be at home at the same time. LOL

If she doesn't have the navigators finished, she can always finish them at my house, if she flys into Ft. Lauderdale.

Geez, the time is flyng by. Don't want it to fly by, as the the week will go by fast. Just taking it one day at the time.

It is horribly hot here in Ft. Lauderdale.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Hope you are doing some fun things
