2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

It was you = thank you - thank you - thank you

my body thanks you and I will thank you even more tomorrow when I am driving up I-95 with the windows open singing myself to death. :lmao: My friends have the 2 b/room villa at WL so I can rest when I get there.

I spoke with my DIL and she tried at 9 pm her time and she forgot what I told her to do. As long as it worked out. :woohoo:

I was just able to book the reservations for Palo.

Mary - close your browser, and clear all your cookies, then try again. I was getting the exact same error message. Once I did that, I was able to get in to book.

Whoops-- got confused and did 3:00 EDT Oh well :)

Missed the Palo brunch and the walking/kayak tour but got everything else.

Back to bed . . .

Just too booked

Palo Brunch on the 23rd at 10:30
Palo Dinner at 6:00pm on the 24th
Stingrays at 11:00 on teh 24th

I was worried about morning activities also on t he 23rd....I noticed someone said they went for 12:00 instead. Just curious if others thought this was a good idea. Are there usually NOT activities at lunch....would that be a better time for brunch??

I think you'll be fine with your early brunch. Using last years navigator as an example there were things going on during all the brunch hours. For example:

On the Nose gameshow went from 10:30-12:00 - this was the DVC presentation that was party for fun but mostly to sell more points. Of course I can't complain too much before at the one the day before we won our stay in Hawaii. You were assigned a time so if this was your time you'd have to decide between it and brunch.

Pajama Bingo went form 10:30 - 11:15

Adventures by Disney talk went from 11:30 - 12:30

Cooking Demo in Studio Sea went from 10:00 - 11:00

Napkin Folding in Studio Sea went from 11 - noon

Jodi Benson autograph session went from Noon - 1 pm

Animation with Dominic Corola went from 1 - 1:45 (but also ran at 9 am that morning)

Conversation with Roy Disney ran from 1 - 2pm (but also ran at 9-10 that morning).

So you see they do have things that overlap but the really big ones they have more than one session for. If there is really something we'd rather do than brunch we'll just cancel. For now I'm happy with my 10 am time slot.

So has any one figured out why it was early? If I hadn't checked before I went to be I would have been furious if I had gotten up at 2 and they would have all been booked.

Last year we missed the castatway club reception while at brunch. But I heard it wasn't much. Cookies & punch. It used to be before dinner with free drinks and finger foods.

have a great Monday.

Kay- have fun in mouseland.

It seems they changed it a week or so ago. I saw a post on the main forum about it and mentioned it here yesterday. So I figured I would chance it and stay up for it. It does make a lot more sense as now the latest anyone has to be up is Midnight Eastern.

I have a question........Will there be any chance of getting a reservation for Palo brunch once onboard? That option was not available when I was able to get to my computer:headache: I work 10pm -7am now and DH didn't log on to make any ressies:mad: Was afraid he would mess something up. I guess if not, there is always next time.

Yes they hold back about 50% of the reservations for those who don't have computer access. Get to the port as early as you can so you are in an early boarding group (2 or 3 would be best) and then head right to where they are taking reservations (usually in the club area but it will be listed on one of the sheets when you check in) and make that your first priority. Good luck!

so if the palo brunches are booked up now do they hold any back for the "first timers" registering at 75 days?

Last year we met some people that did "walk up" for brunch. Just like at WDW someome didn't make it to their ressie and these folks were able to slid right in.

OK - tried to go on and book ours at 2:10 am 'cause I woke up.

Already booked.

Now how cool is that. Thank you to whoever did this for us...

Now back to bed I go, as I leave for WDW in about 5 hours.

I knew this was going to happen...:dance3: But my body had to wake up anyways

That would have been me, Kay. Linda had both of us doing it, just in case. Should be a nice brunch!

next time she gets up at 3 am. :rotfl2:

I still made it to Disney this morning. I actually left the house at 7 am, went and got some orange juice and a bagel and got on the road. Turnpike was nice and easy driving up. no problem at all. I'm here until Friday with 3Dan and his family. It has rained all day here so far.

Thank you again

It is either the Rockin D Bar or Diversions. Whichever one is on the Wonder. I keep getting the ships mixed up with what the bars are named. Guess if I drank, I would remember - :confused3 - I'd rather not remember:laughing:

It is on Deck 3 - when you are facing Guest Services, turn right and then left around the walkway and it is on your right. CAn't miss it.

Oh, now I can't wait to book mine. I think I am going to do the stingrays on our first CC day and then do the bikes, snorkel and such on our second day so we won't miss the group photo and have a more relaxing day.

Still no passports, 16 weeks now.

thanks, Joannel - had a nice ride up. took 2-1/2 hours only.

the two b/room suites (DVC) are really nice. I stayed in one last year at OKW and it was much larger than the ones at WL. Very nice tho - a few feet don't make that much difference.

Thank you that makes me feel better. I was able to book excursions while at CC (after a short nap, don't know if I am going to like working over night, but it saves money on daycare especially with 2). The glass bottom boats for the whole family (twins should love looking at the wildlife through the glass), parasailing for hubbie (even though he didn't do what I asked him to do:upsidedow )shows I still love him:love: , and snorkeling in the am while twins in Flounders for a couple of hours (alone time :woohoo: ). Everyone havea great day.:goodvibes

 Actually, it was only 9pm my time, and I was up working on a project anyway. So, worked out very nicely.

Say hi to Dan and the family for us!

We are staying at the Hampton Inn the night before the cruise. I've contacted the car company-Sunrise Florida Transportation, INC to see if they could take us from the airport to hotel, hotel to port, port to airport. I'll have to wait for them to get back to me.

Has anyone used Sunrise Florida Transportation? That is who I got our car service quote from. They were listed under Shirley's recommendations, I am sure she would not steer us wrong or give us bad info but I was just wondering if there were personal experiences. TIA

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Theresa - no info on Sunrise Florida Transportation but we stayed at the Hampton Inn last May before the Double Scoop Cruise. We enjoyed a nice walk on the beach the morning of the cruise.
