2007 Annual Ornament Exchange

Now before y'all get excited, let me say that due to several factors, I will not be hosting this exchange this year. I have done it several years now and each year I get discouraged by the number of people who sign up and then don't send and the number of replacements that need to be sent out. I also ran this while I moved across the country in 2003 and if I knew that I could be guaranteed to move again simply by hosting, I would do it (can you say NO ONE is buying houses in my home state and I am ready to move 4 months ago?).

Now having said that, I had one DISer volunteer to run this exchange this year. However, she seems to have some problems of her own and I don't think she will be able to take it one. This is usually over 100 people exchanging and it does take a lot of time to do. I know Nancy (meriweather) has said she will do it, but if any one else is interested, she is always busy with other exchanges.

So it's up to you regulars, I am not going to attempt it this time.

I would be happy to.....if you don't find someone else that you think would be up to it.
Most exchanges are pretty small these days, so any I am running in that time frame wouldn't take much effort.
And....I have nothing planned for mid Oct.

It is where each participant would send out one or more Christmas ornaments to their pal. You will get info. if your pals has a special liking, tree theme...but you can get items that represent your region, Disney ornaments, homemade ones....

Yeah---I like the ornament exchange. Not that I need any more ornaments. I actually had to buy a tree just for my Eeyore ornaments, but haven't figured out what to do with all the kitty ornaments. Another tree???? Not sure where I would put it!!!!!

Cindy. We used to have 2 trees, then when the kids moved out and took all their ornaments with them, we went to 1. Now I am back to 2 and a small table top one and still don't put them all up Next house is going to have taller ceilings so my tree can be taller too

I can't wait for this one!! Last year my tree collection expanded from 2 to 4 (I had so many Disney orniments I did a Disney tree! Plus an outdoor tree as well as the 2 regular ones!)
