Congrats to all who successfully competed in recent weeks and best of luck to all those competing soon.

Funny how different parts of the country have different trends regarding hair and makeup. Around here, the trend is towards a more natural eye and cutting out much of the glitter of past.

We are heading to Nationals in Orlando in March. I don't know how we could fundraise in only 10 days. We are working hard and we still have 3 months left to fundraise! Good luck in your competition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For anybody interested, here is the NBC News clip of my daughter's team (Suns in the white uniforms) that aired a few weeks ago on the Nightly News and the Today show. Mind you, both teams had only 3 weeks notice to get their routines polished enough for national coverage We weren't planning on having competition ready routines till January.

Need help from all of you cheer moms I am team mom this year. Tell me things your team moms have done that were hits. Also I was told to decorate the doors for away competitions (honestly I hate this but oh well). Give me some ideas. I am artistically challenged. Thanks. I will take any and all ideas.

We had our first competition this weekend (a small regional) we had a great time!!! We brought 5 teams and took home 1 2nd place and 4 first places~~
Im really looking forward to the bigger more competitive competitions

Dd had her regional competition and took 2nd place this weekend so she will be going to State in Jan!

Wow! I wish I started coming to the community board sooner. My oldest cheered for 7 years and went to Pop Warner Nationals five times. She is taking a break now and will do half year all stars. My middle girl cheered 3 years, went to nationals twice. She is currently doing all stars Junior L3. My baby is on a mini team and can't wait to compete.

Much to my husbands dismay, we are a cheer family. We are going to Atlantic City this weekend.

Well, we are getting ready for a competition this weekend. It is the Athletics in Tunica. Anyone else going to that one?? My dd is very excited. They are doing an exhbition tomorrow so that we can see how they look.

We are doing the all out glitter makeup. This is the first year that we have had to do that so I am going to need a learning curve. They gave us instructions on how to apply the makeup correctly.

We have a regional one on Sunday. But we are the only L3 mini and the tiny's are not getting judged.

Here are two hints!! ONE.... apply the glue and let sit for 60 seconds!! Then PRESS the glitter on to the eye!!! Do not sweep PRESS!!
Also bring a sponge roller!! Any glitter that falls on the face use the sponge to remove it!!

Yeah us too!! We have a regional on Sat and out of 5 squads only two are competiing!! Oh Welll regionals are really only dress rehersal!!

My DD's team placed first in the Lg Senior Unlimited Co-ed 5 division at WSF Indy Showdown. They also got an At-Large Bid to Worlds!! The 2 teams that were awarded the fully paid bids were well deserved.....Gymtyme lg senior limited Co-ed 5 and Cheer Command Sm Sr 5!! Both teams were so much fun to watch as was ICE Senior Unlimited Co-ed 5 that placed a very close 2nd in our division (there was some rumors that ICE truly won due to a judging error but once the error was rectified, Celebrity still won). The Lg Senior Unlimited teams this year are off the hook good!! So exciting to watch.

Dd is still nursing her irritated disc but did hit her flying skills but had a slight touch down on her double full on day 1 (slight or full it was still a deduction). All in all we had a great weekend and met some wonderful cheer parents from many other gyms!!

Let the season begin...............and safely!! Next stop is Jingle Jam at the DCU center in Worcester Dec. 15 (or 16 I forget)

I already booked OKW for Worlds!!!!! DD can stay at All Star with her team!!! LOL!!

My daughter's team has dropped from 20 members to 10. Many of the girls made their high school squads and quit the competition team. Others have joined a competing gym-nice. Her squad looks super and there is a smal team division. She's looking forward to her first competition on December 16th.

I LOVE to watch the the coed level 5 teams!!
This past weekend at our regional Top Gun Miami was there and brought their level 5 coed (mostly guys) THey are sooooooooooo awesome!!! REALLY fun to watch!!!

I agree!! INCREDIBLE!! As far as teams I have seen!!!!! We has them do our routine this year I hope they give us just a SMALL bit of their awesomeness!!!!!
