Sorry to hear about the bad luck streak Brenda!!! I hate to hear when kids get hurt (especially my own)!!!

The girls may have to work a little harder trying to help out their new teammate. I hope it works out for your DD!!!

Well, off to our last practice before we head south. DD will actually be stretching with her team tonight for the first time in 4 weeks!!! She is so tight right now!!!

Once again.............good luck to all my DIS friends and their kids!!! Bring home those titles, bids and jackets!!!!! I want to hear all the updates in case I can't catch your teams live!!! Stay safe!!!

We are just back from Cheersport Nationals. All I can say is "Wow!" It was huge!!!!! We had a rough first day. We had a stunt and a pyramid that fell. We were in 10th place out of 15 teams going into today. The girls did come back and nail the routine today. We ended up placing 7th. Given the level of talent we saw, I was really proud that we placed in the top half after Saturday's falls. Our mini team placed 4th, junior coed took 3rd, Our senior small level 4 was in 1st going into tonight but I have not heard the results for them or our youth level 3 which was in 3rd as of yesterday.
rbuzzotta- I was so glad I got to meet you. I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to come see us perform. I hope your DD's team came back and beat that team that was ahead of them. Please post as soon as you get home and update us.

No cheer competiton for us lately...though my other duaghter participated in an ECA/EDA dance competition Her team took 3rd in hip hop, 2nd in lyrical and 2nd and 4th in jazz.

Betweent the cheer events and the dance events I spend an awful lot of time sitting in the bleachers cheering, you know?

Kristie nice to meet you and your girls also. Glad to hear your DD's team moved up in the rankings. Your fans were SUPERB!!! They were sooooo supportive and cheering so loud for the girls. They did fantastic!!!

DD's team did well but still came out 2nd!! Cheer Extreme Lg COed 5 Kernersville were just unbelievable. They deserved the win (even though I had hoped DD's team would have pulled it off). DD's team had an illegal stunt day 1 and a 10 pt deduction. Had that not been the case they would have been 1st day one. I am not sure of day 2's scores so I don't know if that would have made the difference or not. Either way, they performed well ( a few errors, touchouts, bobbles) so they should be proud. DD can't wait to get back into action!! Next week (fingers crossed).

It was a busy weekend to say the least.............thousands of people all over the place. Fun and exciting. It was great being able to just walk around and watch many different teams. I enjoyed it.

The small senior 5 divisions were tough!!! Lots of great teams!!!!

Check out our small senior 4 team! They got first! I was just glancing at the scores and I think they had the highest score out of any team in any level in Atlanta.

Congrats to our Co-Ed Senior 3 on FIRST PLACE in Atlanta!! All of our teams worked very hard and also deserve a round of applause. Not bad for our first time.. I'm SO PROUD OF MY TWO BOYS on Co-Ed 3 and my daughter on Co-Ed 5. ********GO TNT**********

Sounds exciting. We're gearing p for our trip to WDW. Coach just placed the order for t-shirts for the girls -- they each get a shirt with the team logo when we go to the competition. The moms ordered shirts, too. I think it makes a difference on how our team is perceived if the moms ar eall decked out in our school colors when we cheer for our girls.

TNT mom.......I watched your senior coed 3 team and they were fabulous!! So glad to hear they won!! The competition was so exciting. So many arenas, so many teams, so much excitement and talent under one roof!!!!
DD was sad to have to just watch her team compete but I am happy to report she will be on the practice mat this sunday!!! Not sure how much she will be able to do but it is a start. She will be ready to compete for Worlds!!! It's been a long recovery!! I am happy for her to be able to get back out there (although a bit nervous too!!)

One of our girls isn't coming with us, because her all star team is competing in Florida the week before our trip, she's going with them and not with us because her mom didn't feel she could miss that much school.

Our school team trains once a week at an all star gym. the gym takes teams to Americheer. We cheer for them and they cheer for us.

I think we're all glad for her. It's so hard for a kid to be hurt and not be able to participate. My dd missed a couple of comeptitions last year because she broke her fingers -- she landed wrong doing a back flip.

Oops - realized I had a typo there. We are taking 8 teams, not 9. I think I counted the special needs team twice.
