OK it's a long way off yet, but we just booked it!

Why so early? Our travel agent had a special that was hard to pass up, we knew we wanted this cruise, and I feared an eventual price increase. The rate was only $200 higher than the 2004 price, and less than the current prices for Dec 2005. And we got $150 off!

We are a family of four with myself, DW, DS11, and DS8 (who will be 13 and 10 on this cruise). We went on the 2004 Mousefest cruise (Dec 5) and really enjoyed it. We can only go once a year, so we don't want to cruise every year as it leaves less time for WDW. But we're already looking forward to 2006.

If you don't know what Mousefest is, check out http://allearsnet.com/btp/mousefest.htm . Only about 10% of the people onboard were affiliated with Mousefest last year, and in most respects it is just an ordinary 4-day cruise. Everyone is welcome, for Mousefest, for the cruise, and for this thread!!

I'll be going again, erikthewise. Nice to meet you last year. We had a great time meeting everyone. See you there.

Anyone else going?

Sincerely, Ray

I have passed on Disney cruises so far because of the price, but I've always wanted to do a Mousefest cruise! Besides, MouseEarVacations' price for the 2006 cruise is terrific, even for a single, which I will probably be. So...I just sent an e-mail to a TA there to reserve this cruise! I know it's almost 18 months away, but it will give me lots of time to look forward to it!

Hope to see you on board, NancyIL!

I know what you mean about the price. If it's any consolation, when I booked this cruise, I also checked out prices for the 3-day and 7-day cruises, and the 4-day had the lowest cost per day! And compared to paying for a family of four, the single rate would seem like a great deal! :teeth:

That's great Nancy. I can't wait to see you next year, and you again this year, Erik.

Anyone else going to join Erik and myself?

Sincerely, Ray

YEAH!!! I didn't even know it was a Mousefest date! What an added bonus! We have 7 cabins confirmed- I am sooooo ready to go already! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Well...after thinking I'd go on this cruise last June, then thinking I wouldn't, I just gave Doris at MouseEarVacations the go-ahead to book my cabin! :) Hope to see many more DISers on this cruise. It will be my first Disney cruise!

OK the ship is definitely filling up. I considered moving my stateroom a couple weeks ago, and much of deck 6 is full! Who's out there?! :bounce:

OK, it's less than 180 days now!
WHoooooo's going ?!?!
We know you're out there!
:dance3:

My husband and I will be on this cruise- our first Disney cruise. We are also going to the land portion of MouseFest, staying at the Board Walk Villas as we are DVC members. :) We're on deck 7, cabin #7568.

Hi!

I'll be there too! Deck 7, cabin #7626. Also doing the land portion at Beach Club.

Jim

We will be taking our first Disney cruise on Dec 3rd in a cat 3 cabin and cant wait. In fact, next weekend (Aug 20th) we can start making Palo / shore trip reservations and we already have a list ready to go!!!

We just confirmed our cabin, not many post compared to my turkey day cruise! :cool1:

After booking this cruise last November, I found out in December that The Disney Store where I worked would be closing in Jan. 2006. I knew I wouldn't be working retail during the holidays in 2006, so changed my plans to arrive in Orlando on Thanksgiving Day to visit my mom, then go to WDW for a few days, then go on the Nov. 30th 3-day cruise - which worked out great because my AP expires Nov. 29. That was all fine and dandy, and THEN in May - I asked my DH if he wanted to join me at WDW either in Oct. for our anniversary weekend or the end of Nov. for the cruise. He wasn't interested in the cruise, but expressed an interest in meeting me at WDW from ~ Nov. 30-Dec. 4. Therefore, I cancelled my Disney cruise. Since then, my DH has decided he has NO interest in going to WDW, so I'll either be at WDW until Dec. 4th, OR - just requested a MouseFest cruise quote from MouseFanTravel. I had such a good rate when I booked the MouseFest cruise a year ago, but I'm afraid I'll never see that rate again. :( If the price is too high for this year, then think I'll book it for next year. Going as a single sure makes cruising more expensive!

Sorry you won't be there!

The last time I looked, rates for the 2007 Mousefest Cruise were even LESS than we paid for 2006! (and we booked 18 months in advance). So you may want to take a look at them soon.

It depends on the DCL quote - but you're probably right, since it would mean extending my trip 3 more days. In the meantime, I have a 3-day Royal Caribbean cruise on Sovereign of the Seas on hold for Dec. 1-4. Can't decide if I want to get my cruise fix or more of a WDW fix at the end of my trip!

**Did you get a Mousefest 2007 quote from Mouse Fan Travel? I asked for one of those, too!

I heard from one of the travel agencies that had group rates for the cruise. The group rates sold out, so I'd be paying $1220.45/cat. 11 as a single if I were to book now. When I originally booked this cruise, the price was $695! You all have a great cruise!

The quote for next year's MouseFest was ~$820...still a LOT of money for 4 days. Maybe 2008!

Well...I went ahead and booked the MouseFest cruise...but for Dec. 2-6, 2007! I hope I'll keep this one!

Btw - I decided to not do the Royal Caribbean cruise this December, so I'll enjoy a few more days at WDW.

Count me in for Dec. 3rd cruise! Can' wait!!!
