Who told you this? I was told by a Dreams Agent that Disney is only booking until Dec 2004.

not true.....i have had ressies booked for november 28th 2005 trip since early april, the 2005 room rates came out last month ( middle of june) and i will have my end of the year 2005 ressie paid off in full in october 2004. ( 13 mths in advance)
i also believe you can booked up to 10 years out, not sure where i heard that though....

Congratulations! great timing wow that would be great to meet a dis member, and how ironic, we are from Burlingon !! We have several friends in the New London, Danville area!!!

I'm happy not to be alone in my madness!

I'm planning a trip for 7 of us in October 2006. I WISH it was way sooner, but the thinking is that our DNe and DNi (who will be 9 and 11 by then) need that long between trips to really get excited again. Plus, we will use the trip to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (seems like a lot of us on this thread have big anniversaries that year!). It's fitting because we honeymooned there.

As much as the rest of the family thinks I'm nuts, they all admit that all the planning I did for our trip in June of 03 (I started preliminary stuff about 3 years out then, too) really helped.

Non-obsessed people just don't know what they're missing! I love the planning part!

I think you can book further than 10 years out. We stayed at WDW for NYE 1999-2000. We booked 10 years out but my DH didn't get the deposit in on time. Then for a while, they weren't booking for that time frame. It opened up again in maybe 94 and we booked.

However, during that trip there was coverage of WDW honoring the family that had the earliest booking for that special NYE. They had booked something like 20 years earlier!!!

The only problem with booking so early is that WDW has your deposit money for all that time while you could be earning interest.

I'm happy I'm not the only one with such a high countdown, lol. As you can see, I have a June 2006 trip in the works. I just made my reservations for December 2005 and when that is paid for, hopefully by this time next year, I will make the June 2006 reservation and start paying for it! Can't you see me now, paying my bills every month... ...electric, water, cable, Disney, LOL.

Nope you are definitely not the only one with a high countdown. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, planning is half the fun. Gotta go make my Hoop De Doo Revue ressies tomorrow

I just "fixed" my countdown with the actual June 2006 dates! (I've just sort of had a "generic" date of June 1 in there because I hadn't selected the dates when I first put it up.) Now, it's correct!
Bear Necessities, we'll be there at the same time!

We're planning a June 2006 trip also. My DH wishes we could go next summer, but we have decided to give ourselves the extra year to save so it won't be so painful!! I just took the kids to the Disney Store yesterday to buy their first Disney Dollars. So they are saving, too!!!

Woo HOOO!!We are splitting our stay 4 nights at the Boadwalk villas then the last 4 nights a Wilderness Lodge, but if we can get the current 5for 7then we will be there an extra couple of days.!!! Started our ING accts for the kids today so they can save their money for WDW they like to have thier "own" money to get souveniers with so, 1 dollar a week they put in the acct and they will have about 100.00 which is plenty. Do you know where you will be staying yet?

Just came back from a Disney trip and had such a good family time that we are hoping to return in April,2005 and stay at the AKL,our first Deluxe. I started my countdown clock,but won't think about making ressies until it geys closer(need FL resident rates).In the meantime I will try to save my pennies,cause we won't do it unless I put most of the money aside. Wish me luck!

No I haven't Bear Necessities! DH and I did it on our 10th anniversary celebration and had a blast, but I'm not sure if we're going to do it again this time.

This time I want to save for minature golf and spa treatments.

It reallys is a small world (no pun intended). Looks like we will have quite a few people to meet. My husband works in Burlington so we are down there quite a bit. How cool!!!

I'm so happy to see this thread!

I was already getting depressed about my WDW trip being over when we didn't even go yet! (We go in a few weeks.) But after reading these posts, I've decided that the day I get back home from this trip, I'm going to join you all and become a 2006 Disney obsessive planner!!

OMGosh, where should we stay?? What month should we go?? I'll have so much planning to do. All the things we won't have time for we'll do on our 2006 trip.This is great! I'm not going to let DH know about this until we come home from this upcoming trip, because he just won't understand!!
