2006 Vacations

I'm going to the Bahamas in April with some friends, a cruise in July with DH, my best friend, and her DH ( brand new ship- Freedom of the Seas :Pinkbounc ) , and my DD and I are going to WDW for along weekend in October :)

No locked in plans yet. Probably to NC to visit friends. My wife wants to go to WDW during Christmas week, which I plan to talk her out of.

Sanibel Island is a possibility for us w/o the kids.

And, finally, considering a family style dude ranch in the NW.

I'm even considering the Bahamas! It's close enough and not too expensive! Haven't been there in many, many years and that was before kids came along. I think my boys would be blown away by the color of the water!

So many choices, I don't know where to go!

DH and I are going to Stone Mountain GA in celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary! :bride: :love2: :groom: I just booked the hotel reservations last night...makes it seem a bit more real. We're going to be there for 5 days and I have each day planned out with a different location. Stone Mountain Park one day, the new aquarium the next, Fernwood Museum another day, and then ZooAtlanta and the Cyclorama the last day! :cool1: CAN'T WAIT!! :cheer2:

WDW the week after Thanksgiving for us... not sure what else at this point., I would like to go to Montauk for a couple of days, and maybe just some other long weekend trips. We already have reservations for the Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos for February, and I want to go to "the big E" in September. (It's a temendous fair in Massachusetts) Since DS 7 months came into our world, our boat has been rocked and it's not so easy to get away anymore. Plus with some luck, we might be building a new home in 2006. :cool1:

We just got back from Mammoth Mountain today and fell in love. DS took part in a disabled ski school. I think another trip next Christmas to Mammoth is on our list. We will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in August and are trying to decide where to go. We may go to Utah to see the National Parks and dinosaur stuff, then over to Yellowstone.

For the first time in several, I don't think we'll vacation this year. Which will break my heart! LOL! We did WDW 2x in 2005 and with new jobs, new house, and debt we need to pay down, I think it might be wise to sit this year out and pay some off.

I think our next vacation will be NYC, though. Because we have a place to stay it really won't be expensive so we'll see what happens - maybe next fall we'll be secure enough to fly up there for awhile. DH has never been and I want him to exp it so badly!!

We'll be leaving for WDW in a week! :goodvibes I can't wait.

In December I'm going to Paris, France for about 10 days (might go for more days) I'm really looking forward to the this trip. :cloud9:

I'll probably end up taking more vacations throughout the year. :)

We are planning a trip to Florida the day after the kids get out of school 6/24. The plan is to drive down from NJ and to spend sometime with my grandparents. I am hoping to get atleast 3 days in at Disneyworld. Sniff sniff.. wish it was 10 days like our last trip but not this year with 2 babies. Than our plan is to drive to texas to see my SIL. We will have to see how $$ and things are by than.

Jan 8-11 DL Hotel
Mar 4-6 Vegas (friends wedding)
Mar 16-26 Tahiti/Moorea/Tikehau (vacation of a lifetime)
Oct ??? DL (Grand CA - take advantage of AP's :flower: )
Thanksgiving Week - Timeshare in Rancho Mirage

It is a big year of vacations for us, but is sure is going to be a long summer!

I am going to Denmark. I have dreamed of going there all of my life and it is finally happening and I can't wait! I'll be there for three weeks in August and September!

We are also going to Disneyland in October as we do every year!

Oh yeah, I'm also going to Ohio to visit my best friend in February. But that's not really a vacation as I really don't like Ohio at all!

We're doing a similar tour in 2007 for DS's HS graduation only we're doing Northern Ireland, England and Scotland.

Royal Caribbean? We are going on RCCL's Jewel of the Seas. Took Serenade this year to Alaska... love the Radiance ships! My fear is that there won't be any young people on the cruise... I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

WDW Feb 24- March 4

Alabama several times

Biloxi in April

In May my dh and I are going to Cancun for a wedding he's in, and then in June we're going on a road trip in June to Oklahoma to visit some family.

Ireland this summer with my DH, cousin & cousin's wife. :)

I should be online booking flights to Fort Myers right now -
having a hard time to commit to flying with three kdis by myself -
BUT
if the flight is siginficantly cheaper to Orlando - I could go there and drive down for the rest of the week - so I am working on it for any time this winter...

We should be moving into the new house come May so we are not planning anything for the spring summer, except maybe a long weekend on Treasure Islad in Maine

but come November we may have to head to a house rental in Fort Myers Beach for a wedding on a catamaran and a week long stay - one wedding I WILL NOT be complaining about ;) (but the two others :earseek: )

In March we are going on a 7 day cruise to Belize, Grand Caymans, Cozumel and Costa Maya. Sometime over the summer we are going to NYC. Also, we are either going to Vegas in October or WDW in December next year too!
