2006 Summer Sanitarium Tour

Gosh S'late I would run over you too. :moped: I mean you are being totally selfish what with your desire to eat vension and fish in NorVAY instead of Fried Chicken at MGM. And constantly separating poor Whiner from the rest of the kiddies. And not understanding that Brain NEEDS to smoke and can't be overwelmed with taking care of his children right now. My goodness girl! Your poor MIL only wanted one teensy little thing and you are being unreasonable by not rearranging all your plans for the WHOLE family and taking a financial hit just for a passing whim. Sheesh! :moped:

What exactly was I thinking?

:scared1: I saw someone else try that maneuver on her husband this weekend. She was chasing him around Adventureland and he was screaming at her to stop!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Great trippie, S'late.
I whole heartedly feel your pain.
Run, just run to WS and suck down a few margaritas! :drinking1

I am glad I missed the first portion of your installment when I was on here last night and didn't get to see it until today .. the suspense was about 10 sec for me :rotfl:

Great idea to keep the MIL running you over with the wc until later. You never know when you will need it. At least the actual ride was great!

:rotfl2: I am NEVER, EVER taking a trip with 11 family members EVER :rotfl2:

I am however, taking my parents with us this trip & wondering how that is going to work out. :rolleyes1 Mom went for 4 days last trip & we did fine, but adding Dad into the mix might make for interesting events as Dad is really not one of us (aka a Disneyfreak).

S'late - this is great (hey - I rhymed  )

Next time I get home to Raleigh, I'm treating you to a BigGulp sized Sunbeam!!! :drinking1

In the spirit of your trippie, I am sitting here reading in a straight-jacket, sipping my diet-coke & prozac.

S'late, HOW, pray tell, did you refrain from committing a bloody crime against one of your in-laws?? You have the patience of an angel. I would have shown Brain EXACTLY what he could do with his smokes, and if my MIL tried to run me over with her scooter.... Well, let's just say the turkey legs in Frontierland would start tasting a lot more like chicken... :rolleyes1

I am normally a very patient person, but my husband's family (and my mother too) is my kryptonite. They get under my skin in seconds!!! As soon as they're gone, POOF, back to happy self!

Can't wait to hear what shenanigans they pull next, and am wondering if you ever lose it (even a teeny bit??) :confused3

Hello subscribers of the madness! I was hoping to get another installment finished before our next adventure. I'll try my best to have one more episode before we head to the airport.

Airport???? You're flying????

What are you going to do about not stopping at South of the Border and the Florida welcome station?

We can deal -- just give us some more updates! Please!

I read the pre-trip report, so how did I manage to miss this one until now? :confused3 Anyhoo, I am thrilled I stumbled across it today. popcorn::

Guess WHAAAAaaaT?

I met the real live S'late and Serious AND their kids!

We were together yesterday from 11:30 to 2:00 in the food court of the POR.

That place will not soon recover, just between you and me.....I wont spoil it for her TR (but it looks like she's a trip behind, so you can read it on the last day of my BIG FAT DISNEY VACATION.....where our two trips intertwine)
(not so shameless plug)

I WILL say they are just AWESOME peeps...all of em!

One can only imagine... was havoc wreaked? Amuck ran? Will the food court be fit for feeding my family by Dec.1?!
Can't wait to read all about it

I am sure that was one Magical celebration!!!

Are you home UMama? If so, START WRITING!!!

Solate -

Have you ever read A thousand acres by Jane Smiley? One of the main characters goes through a time in her life where it was painful to read. I was seriously hoping the character would commit suicide - because I saw no other way for her to get out.
As a child I always hated watching or reading Charlie Brown or Peanuts (except for the Christmas one! I have to watch it every year).
But anyway, my point was I hate seeing the underdog get crapped on. I always knew Lucy was going to pull that dadblasted football up at the last second.
We'll say you're more like Charlie Brown than the Jane Smiley character. The point is, your report is so hard for me to read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't ever let the evil MIL talk you into this again!
Ever!
A trip with 11 people is hard enough - it's frickin (NOF) impossible with people you don't like who try to run you over with their ill gotten ECV!
I'm kinda confused.
Why was she in the EVC and not the grandma?
I will read it. Because I'm commited to the characters now. But it will not be fun! I think I'll be very ready for my vacation by the time I get done. (Good thing it's less than a week away! :yay: :yay: )
I sincerely hope that your second trip was of the :cloud9: variety.

Slate ~ Your report is almost too painful to read!! But I guess, all of your pain is what makes it entertaining to us!! :thumbsup2 At least you are there again now, and this trip should be LOTS more fun for you and your family..........how could it not be?

We considered planning a "Magical Gathering" for us and all of dh's family (would be 8 adults and 7 kids all under the age of 9)........then on second thought I decided that might not be such a great idea! So we all to a trip to Hilton Head, SC, and had a wonderful time!! LOL

Can't wait til you get back and can finish up telling us all about the "Sanitarium Tour"!!
