2006 Fall Break Question

Does anyone know when the fall break is this year in October? We hit it last year and the crowds were quite large. I was hoping to avoid the week this year. We were at MK during Columbus Day week last year. This year, we are going the end of October. Thanks!

Depending on what part of the country you're in, it could be anywhere from late September through mid - to- late October. Our last day of school before Fall break is Friday, September 29 and the kids go back on Monday, October 16.

In SE TN it is October 13-17.

In the SE Denver Suburbs it's Oct 23-27th for Middle and High schools...lots of our elementary schools go year round.

Here in the Indianapolis area, our fall break this year is October 26-27th(only 2 days plus the two days on the weekend). Next year in 2007, it is about the same time, October 25-26th.

North Georgia. We only get Oct 6th Friday 9th Mon and 10thTues

No fall break here in our part of Maryland...although the kids do get off a day in Sept. for a Jewish holiday & one day in October for the Teacher's Convention.

Minnesota is mid october something like the 19-22. we went to WDW during that time last year and there wasn;t huge crowds. We plan on going back then this year too.

I also live in Pensacola, Fl so ours is the same as someone else posted 10/16-10/20. However, we just started having these fall breaks only since 2004 I think and not everyone has a fall break. October in general is becoming a more popular month to travel. The weather and MNSSHP makes it a nice time to visit. No matter what I am sure you will have a wonderful trip.

The county I live in N.Georgia the school fall break is Sept. 18-22.

Northwest Fl. resident also! We live in Gulf Breeze and Santa Rosas fall break is the first week of Oct. With the two counties so close you would think they would be at the same time. All of our dance and soccer activities are in P-cola so on our week "off" we still have practices to get to. lol.

What is this Fall Break?? I haven't been in school for many years and this is news to me!!
Boy, kids now days get all kinds of breaks! So when do we adults get breaks?

NW Alabama -- November 6-10 .... we're hoping it won't be too crowded, even though it's end of F&W.. and may run into some of the Jersey crowd.. but I really don't know if that will bring a noticeable crowd or not ???

It won't matter though... because we'll be at DISNEY

I know Oct. is fall break time. I'm hoping we will be missing most of them. For those of you that went last year (Oct. 20-25th), what were the crowds like? We've only been in early Jan. (not crowded after the New Years crowd clears out) and July (horrible crowds). I know there is no way to guess the crowd level but based on last year, what can I expect in terms of wait times on rides? Any info will be great. TIA!
