We have had another interesting weekend. DH broke his nose while white water rafting on Friday afternoon. Spent the evening in a small ER Friday night and has been looped up on Vicodin since then. Only 1 black eye and one laceration on the top of his nose from his glasses (which are in one piece). He is going to try to go to work today. We will see how long he lasts. I hope everyone else's weekend was a little less exciting.:headache:

OUCH!

I get terribly sick on Vicodin. I hope he doesn't suffer from that same thing.

I agree with Gail, I'm sure he'll hear all about it from the guys at work.

Were you together as a family when that happened? I'm sure it was scary. Amazing how his nose took the brunt of the impact and the glasses remained intact.

Sounds painful! I hope he takes it easy and comes home if the pain is too bad!

Mousememories has great items! I have found that our LSS carries much of the same and I don't have to pay shipping so I save money ;)

Ron get well soon. That had to hurt. When are you going white water rafting again?

OUCH! Hope it doesn't hurt too much - I'm sure the vicodin helps with that. He does realize that going back to work with a black eye and a broken nose he will take some ribbing from his co-workers about his wife having to keep him in line. :rolleyes1 They surely won't believe he did it while white water rafting ;) I hope he's feeling better soon.

Actually it was a work quarterly event. So at least 30 of his co-workers know how it happened.

OK I love Mousememories - we went there one day a few trips ago. Bought some nice stuff. They even had some Cedar point papers.

Mousememories has some National Park stuff that I havent found anywhere else SO I may have to send off an order............

We are leaving Sunday. I am working a 48 Today and Weds on the bulance and then a 8 at the FD on Friday and 24 back here Saturday. So I guess Thursday will be a packing festival at our house. I have to get my allergy shots, get oil changed, rotate tires and have the rock ding in the windshield looked at:sad2: (DADBURN TRUCKERS) We already did a trial run on the bike rack and have a list ready of things to bring, including cold weather clothes.:scared1: There are some web cams of Old Faithful and at Glacier . We are gonna try and let the Grandkids see us. ( technology fun is so cool)

Anyway both Coleen and I are really getting excited.;)

It sounds like it's going to be a fun trip, Steve & Coleen. Have fun! :cool1:

Cheryl - those are great - thanks for sharing - wish I could make it down there again this year for MNSSHP - but I can't so it's nice to see it thru other's eyes!

okay I went to the Haunted mansion AP preview on Sunday, while we were there we took some halloween photos

For those who want to see my photos that I took on Sunday go to

Pay attention to the pumpkins on top of the firehouse :)

Neat pictures, Cheryl. I love how they do the pumpkins. We still do the traditional triangle eyes & circle nose jack-o-lanterns in our house. :rolleyes1

What is the Haunted Mansion AP Preview?

Steve I hope you and Coleen have a great trip - can't wait to see the scrapbook when it's done.

Cheryl, nice pictures - loved the "restroom" sign pumpkin.

Cindy we use to do the triangle eye pumpkins too, but we found using the patterns and poking the holes and then cutting it out to be really easy. One year with help from our friends I think we made 6-8 pumkins all with a different design.

I also loved seeing the pumpkins. We were at MK four times last week and it was amazing how each day more and more decorations came out.

The HM just got out of a big rehab and this weekend they had a preview for annual passholders. If I knew that Julia wouldn't have freaked out in there, we totally would have gone.

Oh--and I use a pattern to cut my pumpkins, last year I believe we did Snow White and Cinderella.....this year, I'm thinking it's gonna be an alligator!

Well, then, is that an offer to get together pre-Halloween to carve pumpkins! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Hey, there, stranger!

Look at that "location" of yours. :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3:

I am so out of what's going on at WDW, it's not even funny. Four times in 1 week, lucky you! :woohoo:
