We also wear seatbelts all the time and I actually do not allow anyone to ride in the front seat without one on. I know that on our way to Great Wolf Lodge I did have to hound the driver to put his belt on.... hmmm one would think that he would know to wear it!

Hmmm, being I know who you rode with, you would think he would know better.

I started wearing a seatbelt the day I found out I was pregnant with Dawn - that was in 1983 when seatbelt laws weren't in effect. Even car seats were quite archaic by today's standards. When the kids were a bit older and were sitting in the seat I would check in the rear view mirror and see that a seat belt wasn't done. I would tell them the car wouldn't start until all the seatbelts were fastened. Fast forward to the day David bought his first car, he wanted to take us for a drive. John sat in the front and I crawled in the back. John told him he would have to start the car if he wanted to take us for a drive. David looked back at me and said "The car doesn't start until all the seat belts are fastened" Funny how he bought a car with the same feature mine had :rolleyes1

Priceless story, Gail! :rotfl2:

I'll have to suggest to Cameron that if he's ever in that same situation with a driver/passenger not using his/her seatbelt to try the innocent child line of the car not starting and see if that helps.

Rich is in your great City of Chacago!!! :thumbsup2 for HP classes. He is in awe of Wrigleys field.

:scared:  :scared: Wrigley Field.........that would be more Curt & Karen's territory over the White Sox fan in this house! ;) I hope he's having a blast.

Oh are you trying to get to Vero Beach before I try it out ;) We'll be there Thursday & Friday before Thanksgiving and Saturday night we will be at the Country Inn & Suites at the Port.........wonder if I'll meet up with anyone there :rolleyes1

Hmmm, I think I might have reservations at the CI&S for the same night. What a coincidence. :cool1:

Our waitlist also came through for AKL so we'll be there in a 1 bedroom, savannah view, for the Sunday night after Thanksgiving. :thumbsup2

The girls are SO excited for Deanna's trip!! Emily started marking the days off on the calendar until she gets here! I hope that she's not disappointed, because we're kinda boring around here. We've spent the summer with swim lessons and then just hanging in the pool during the day. That's about it! But, we will be bringing her to WDW for a couple of days, so that should be fun too.

Boring!! How could Deanna possibly get bored between having the girls to keep her entertained as well as Chris. Did you know that Cameron still says that Chris is the funniest guy that he's ever met! :cool1:

Well, send Cameron on down too!!! He and Chris could have some fun!! However, I'm sure that he wouldn't be nearly as interested in spending time with 2 little girls as Deanna would be?!?!?!?:rotfl2:

Hey Carol - you let me know whenever you head over to WDW, and we'll meet up!! I just miss all of my DIS friends, and the fact that SO many are going to be together just makes me sad that I can't be there. Heck, we've been SO busy here lately that I haven't seen or heard from even Jeff. But, I'm sure that part of that is also that we haven't gone to Lakeland in quite a while. :sad2:

Hey Jeff - are you still out there?????

Yep, I'm out here. I've been lurking because of work, star wars weekends and my dad's visit which ended Monday, he was here for a week and a half.

Amy, Tina and Carol - If you're going to Disney during Cedar Point weekend give me a call and we can meet up as my mom and Casey will be down then. We're staying Saturday, Sunday and Monday and they fly out on Tuesday night.

BTW, if anyone wants any Star Wars stuff send me a PM as this is the last weekend. This year's black shirt went down from $19.95 to $11.99 for adults and to $9.99 for youth sizes. I'm expecting the blue shirts to go down this weekend but they were still $19.95 last weekend. The black shirt has this year's poster on it and the blue shirt has the "Luke Mickey" Big Fig on it. I like the blue one better but bought the black for the price.

This is totally true especially at the hockey games. But you should see when he and John get together. :hyper2:

It's good to see you out there, Jeff!! I mailed the most current CJs to you on Monday, don't know if you got them yet. I'm not sure when we'll be at WDW next, at least until Deanna gets here. Then, I know that we're going on 7/8 - 9. We're probably going again for a couple of days around 7/17-18 (my neice will be here and the 18th is my birthday), then again around the 31st when my other neice will be here.

Hi Everyone!

I have been busy with school being out and working 2 jobs. Today, myself and DD are flying out for the weekend. Seeing lots of family this weekend in Montana and North Dakota and DH says "he'll be working". Yeah right! He is going out to dinner with friends from Isreal tonight and wine tasting with some other friends on Saturday. I have to spend the weekend with family! I think he is going to have a better weekend. :rotfl:

Gotta go do some ironing and finish packing. Have a fun weekend everyone!

She's really looking forward to seeing the girls....oh, and you and Chris too :)

Tell David I repainted the Pooh room for him. The new color is not quite as bright green. (I know he is aiming for Tampa, but he can still visit here)
 Sorry to say David has changed his mind again. He's back to moving to Grand Rapids............I'm sure the girlfriend living there has nothing to do with his decision :rolleyes1

Oh yes, send Cameron too! Can you imagine what Amy & Chris would be saying after having 2 teenagers in their house :rotfl:

You know Roxann, your DH keeping those friends entertained could be a lot of "work"! Have a fun and safe trip!

Jeff...We will be down 7-13/7-18, and we would love to get together if its doable! Its Tim, me, and the 3 girls! I'll PM you my cell! Also, do you know if the Star Wars shirts come in a 3x? If so can you pick one up for Tim?

Oh, but I have! I vividly remember the trip we took to downtown Chicago. Especially the part where the two of them conqueored up a plan where Chris ran outside of the el train at one of the stops and pressed his face against the outside of the car.

Probably not much, as they'd never speak to either of us again!

Which shirt do you want the black one with this year's poster on it or the blue one with Luke Mickey on it? I'm pretty sure they come in a 3x. Just to define, Luke Mickey is the big fig (or figurine) that the Art of Disney is selling this year and it is Mickey in the orange jumpsuit that Luke wore in hie X-wing fighter during the raid on the first Death Star. There are 3 other big figs (about a foot and a half tall and standing on a lighted base) and one was released each weekend in this order: Luke Mickey, Princess Minnie, Stormtrooper Donald and Darth Goofy (released tomorrow). They are selling at $175 + tax which works out to just under $200 and there are 600 total of each, none have sold out as of last Sunday morning. I bought the Mickey one instead of a fish tank for my office and it's pretty nice. Getting back to the shirts, the blue one has Luke Mickey on it with the Rebellion symbol behind him and is a real nice shirt. The biggest plus is that it's blue and not the usual black that they always sell. Blue is MUCH cooler in the parks, I tested the theory last weekend.

So not to double post, Amy I did get the journals, Thanks! I'll probably do them next week. Cheryl, we can talk at MGM if we see each other.

Jeff,

The blue one sounds really nice, if you can find the blue in a 3x, that is great, if not, then the black is good too! Thanks again!!!

Jeff - So nice to see you popping in. I'm glad to hear your having going to the Star Wars weekends. We have only been able to enjoy it the one time when we were down for Member Homecoming. One of these days we will make it back since we are Star Wars fans.
If you read this before you go I would love a pin. Just about anything would be fine I know they try to do like a poster type one or something along those lines.
Thanks!

Happy Saturday!!! It's rainy here, but still a great day! I only have work until about 1, and then the day starts!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend! It's Tim and I's anniversary today, so we are going to dinner and a movie! Then my girls are back tomorrow....I miss them! They went with my mom to Michigan on Tuesday, and were supposed to be home today, but they made a stop in Grand Rapids at a water park hotel!
