Amy - oh a trip on Magic sounds amazing right now!!!

Cindy - I can't wait to hear how this year's trip to Hilton Head goes ... I want to visit there sometime!

Steve - sounds like a great day yesterday :)

We're still 2 months out from our next vacation but we do have some fun weekends coming up - Nascar, scrapbooking retreat ... woo hoo!

We sadly don't have any trips planned until July (I know I just got home 2 weeks ago but it seems like it was a lifetime ago) when we will spend a week up north. Next month Dawn and I are going to North Carolina to look for an apartment for her, but that will just be a long weekend.

In the mean time I'm looking into a Hawaiian cruise for John and I for our 15th Anniversary in May 08.

Amy and Cindy have fun getting ready for your trips - planning is half the fun :yay:

Gail - it was great to see you and John yesterday - glad you could stay and chat for a bit! I sure hope Deanna wasn't sitting in the car all that time! Babies are so sweet - glad you got to have fun time with your nephew.

Amy - good luck with the painting.

Steve - I've been wanting to go and see that movie but will probably wait for the dvd.

Cindy - I've visited HH once - have you ever stayed there? It looks really nice and someday I hope to add it to my plans.

I went out scouring the Clearance racks last night at the stores and found a few things for my May cruises. Now I have to make a list since I've never been on a ship for such a long time. Should be fun!

Tonight is DVC Chat - you can use the link above to find us!

Deanna drove down with Diane so not to worry, we didn't leave her out in the car. :rotfl: Now sometimes I would like to leave her in the car, but I think there are laws against that :rolleyes1

Now shopping for cruise clothes sounds like alot of fun. Just a word of warning - even though you are going to be on the ship for an extended period of time, it goes really fast. Our 11 night cruise flew by and we found out that 11 nights on the ship is not even close to being too long. You guys are going to have a great time!

I saw a Robin in the garden today. Hopefully Spring is finally here!

Amy & Cindy - you have some great trips coming up. Enjoy!

Gail - are you looking at NCL? We saw two of their ships docked while we were there. They looked beautiful.

I hope to be in chat tonight.

This will be our 7th consecutive year visiting Disney's Hilton Head resort. Ironically, we bought into DVC and had points to use and didn't want to return so quickly to WDW. So, we tried Hilton Head and absolutely fell in love with the resort and the area.

We usually go in July but for a change of pace, we're going to try the springtime this year. July is very hot and humid and while we enjoy the pool and beach, it will be a different trip for us this time. I just hope the kids enjoy it as much as I'm not sure the crabbing will be starting yet and both of my kids spend a lot of time at the pier. We'll have to see what else they can pull out of the water. Cameron one year caught a diamondbacked turtle, last summer Walker caught a flounder and Gary caught a small shark. And.....the coolest thing was Cameron & Gary saw what they thought was a manatee swimming in the creek. We had heard they were in the area and they couldn't be sure it was one but it seemed to be based on the size.

We are very much looking forward to getting away. :dance3:

Hey there everyone!:wave2:
We had a busy day yesterday. Nick slept over my parents house on Friday night cause Jeff & I had a Scoutmaster training class to go to in the morning. Once that was done we did a little shopping then back home to do some housework. For dinner were went to my friends parents house for Corned Beef and Cabbage. Normally we do it St Patrick's weekend but my friend is pregnant and due soon so her mom wanted to get the dinner in this weekend just to be on the safe side.

Amy - Sounds like you have a busy calender of house projects. I hope all the painting turns out just the way you want.

Cindy - OOHHH! HH in 2 weeks! One of these days we will make it there.

Steve - Sound like you and Colleen had a nice day out. I want to see Wild Hogs and glad you & Gail give it a thumbs up!:thumbsup2
Now I can't wait to head over to the CJ group to hear about the booty you got at Mike's!

Gail - Oh you got to go see a newborn! Don't you just love babies! I could hold them for hours!!!

Our next trip isn't for 2 months, and it looks like we may be adding another long weekend in August to the Renaissance Festival with friends.

I'm going back and forth to Atlanta last week and the rest of this month and while we were having winter's last gasp in New York, it was in the high 60s /low 70s last week and will hit high 70s this week. I just checked the weather and switched out my long sleeve shirts for short sleeves :thumbsup2

WHich reminds me, I have to give Kevin and Terri a shout.

Probably not NCL, as of now, they don't have any roundtrip cruises scheduled. Princess & Royal Caribbean leave out of and return to LA. It will gives us 4 sea days on each end of the trip. I just started checking and there is a ton of info to read up on.

Love 'em, especially when I can give them back when they cry or need a diaper changed ;)

Ah - got it. Didn't realize you wanted to leave out of LA. No NCL just does week long (and some a little longer) of the islands, but they leave from Honolulu.

This sounds like a wonderful day!!

If we have bad weather ( ) at all in Hilton Head, we're planning on passing the time seeing Wild Hogs.

And.......... I could especially use a couple of cold ones. I sure wish I had a few of those in the house over the last couple of days. :drinking1

Have a safe day!

Cindy,

The little movie theater closest to the resort has wonderful popcorn. The popcorn comes plain and there is a topping bar to the side where you can put your own popcorn flavoring on. Butter, cheese, jalepeno, cinnamon, etc. We try to hit the movies at least once while we are there.

I would opt for Royal if kids are going. Princess is nice but definitely for an older crowd. Royal has a great reputation for being family friendly. We did a Hawaiian cruise on Celebrity 5 year's ago. Very nice but it was an older crowd and the night time shows and activities reflected that.

It hopefully will be just me and John. Yeah, I've read that the crowd seems to be older on Princess and Celebrity. We've cruised with RCL twice (3rd time this November) and have been very happy with them. Once they get back to me about what ship will be making the voyage during that time, we'll make our decision. Celebrity does the one way cruises - leaving from Hawaii and ending in Ensenda or reversed. We really enjoy the time on the ship so that's whay we were looking at the RT cruises. It's still all up in the air at this point.

GOOD MORNING DVC CRUISERS!
Coleen and I had a GREAT day yesterday! We did a BUNCH of shopping bought quite a few things at Michael's ,more on that in the CJ group later. Then finished the evening up by going to see Wild Hogs. Disney will be bringing the cash in by the BUCKET on this one. We laughed till we had tears flowin. Then went to have a couple cold ones at a local brewpub. Got up this morning right on time but I feel a nap in my future. Workin a 24 pn the 'bulance today. Hope everyone has a WONDERful day!

Ahhh, a shopping spree. I'd love to go on one of those, but I'm restircting myself to use what I've already got these days. I have so much stuff it isn't even funny. And I'm sure I've got duplicates and triplicates of the stuff I fell in love with at one time or another. (But I stocked up on stuff for the CJs before I put myself on this "shopping diet". ) I had to force myself to throw out a catalog last night with some great stuff in it that I really want. Don't want that temptation lying around.

I feel so out of it, what is Wild Hogs about. I haven't been to the movies in ages so I don't even know what's playing these days.

Good morning all!!! We are working all day on priming and painting our family room and dining room. The dining room is an awful blue color (yes, I did originally pick it out, but now I hate it), and our family room is full of dark, real wood paneling that just makes the room look like a winter lodge. So, we need to prime it all first, then start the painting. The dining room is going to a light greyish, beige on top of the chair rail, and the bottom will be new wainscotting (sp?) painted in a slightly darker shade than the top of the wall. The family room will be painted a linen color, with darker brown trim. I sure hope that it all turns out ok!! But, in order to get it done, I promised Chris that I already turned my computer off and now I need to turn the laptop off, so that I don't get distracted!! ;)
How'd the painting go today? You've gotta share pics with us, you know. ::yes::

Our last vacation was back in October on a "little boat" with a bunch of DIS/DVC friends. :lmao: Sadly, though, we don't have another planned until this coming October/November. But at least I can look forward to spending my birthday in a very happy place.

Be here in 2 months and your hired!!!!!

Hey Gang!

Not too much excitement around here...

Spring Training games are in full-swing, so I've been following those. Cindy - Tell Cameron that Magglio got hit in the head yesterday by Josh Beckett. :headache: He went down hard - and stayed down - but he's okay. After three (almost four) of our guys got hit by Boston pitchers, there was a bench-clearing almost brawl. In Spring Training. Crazy.

Speaking of Spring Training...

We leave in 9 days!!!!!!!

I can't wait! Can you tell that I'm excited?!? Disney and Tigers Baseball - What could be better? In fact, Tigers Baseball at Disney! One of the games that we're going to see is against the Braves at World of Sports. We've never been there, so that should be cool. :sunny:

Our March trip almost got canceled yesterday. One of my clients canceled on me at the last minute for next week. Great. That was a big part of this trip's budget. Well, we went to dinner with friends last night (which was a whole heckuva lot of fun, btw), and not only did they hire me for 11 days in April, they insisted on paying me in advance so that our trip could still happen. I'm not exactly sure what we did to deserve so many wonderful friends, but I'm thankful for it everyday.

And that client that canceled, who has pulled this before, is now a former client. :furious:

Thanks to all who answered my cruise questions. I'll be filling my sister in sometime next week. pirate:

And, Roxann? It sure is almost baseball season! Thank the Goddess! (Maybe we'll "bump" into you guys while we're in WDW...)

Hope so :cheer2:

I just found out one of my daughter's friends will be down while we are in Florida. Apparently, they will be staying with family in Cocoa Beach and then they will be going to Disney for 2 or 3 days. Hopefully, we will spend a day with them while we are all there.

Our Spring Break should be very fun! Even though it is just the two of us I think we will be spending some time with good friends!:woohoo:
