Oh Mary - I'm so sorry to hear about your bad day. I sure hope that things are looking up!!!

So, I was up really late last night cooking a South African dish called Bobotie (a curried beef casserole) for Emily's class. Their school does a folk fair for the 4yr old classes. Each class chooses a country and since the first of the year, they have decorated their rooms, learned songs & dances and cultural things about that country. Lucky me, Emily's class did Africa, so I had to make this for the folk fair today. The other classes are doing Germany, Mexico and Japan. How come I couldn't get one of those???? Just kidding!!

Anyway, today is the big folk fair where they'll all show off their songs/dances, then we'll go through a guided tour of all of the classrooms learning things about each country and trying different foods (thus, the Bobotie casserole). So, wish me luck that I pulled it off. It smells pretty good, so we'll see.

I'd be calling around to find an African restaurant where I could buy something pre-made for the class. Or, I'd be begging Gary to do the cooking, because even my children don't want to eat what I cook, much less strangers.

3) She's interested in the Dolphin Encounter excursion on Nassau. Is it any good? Worth the price?

Yeah, I'm envious too! Tell her to book the Dolphin stuff at Blue Lagoon without Disney. The disney one is only a knee deep intro that lasts about 20min. The real deal is in the water for a training session that lasts about 45min. It may be more expensive, probably is but we did it and the memories last a LIFETIME. My son was about 15 and loved this. You actually
"ride" the dolphins at the end. Amazing experience!

I'm getting psyched for my April trip to the World! Would anyone like to meet up with us for dinner one night. It will be me and my dd, Michelle and a friend from CA who I haven't really met yet except online on my Schnoodle (my doggies) list. We thought it would be fun to meet and there are a few others on our list in FL but I don't think they are going to wind up being around. Anyway of course Disney is the main attraction. It will be a pain not staying on site but for $1/night I'll deal with it. I get to repeat it all again in May except just found out dd won't be able to join us as she had an invitation with a friend to go to San Fran We'll miss her but I have a feeling she may miss us more. She also has to wait to hear about her internship with Southwest Airlines. TX folk she may be near you this summer!

We will completely miss you! We'll be in Orlando Friday the 20th (just to crash for the night), but leaving early Sat morning to get on the Magic. Have a great vacation, though!!!

Evening everyone!

It was a really busy day around here and it felt so nice to have nicer weather (50's) and Most of the snow has melted!

Don't forget to change those clocks tonight. Spring forward! I remember one year when I turned them the wrong direction. I was in my teens and sure felt well rested when I woke up bright and early the next morning. Nothing like being 2 hours behind to start the day!

Coleen and I had a GREAT day yesterday! We did a BUNCH of shopping bought quite a few things at Michael's ,more on that in the CJ group later. Then finished the evening up by going to see Wild Hogs. Disney will be bringing the cash in by the BUCKET on this one. We laughed till we had tears flowin. Then went to have a couple cold ones at a local brewpub. Got up this morning right on time but I feel a nap in my future. Workin a 24 pn the 'bulance today. Hope everyone has a WONDERful day!

We saw Wild Hogs last weekend - what a funny, funny movie. John and I have decided that we need to go and see it again, since I'm sure we missed alot because of all the laughing.

We dropped off the CJ's at Mary's and visited for a little bit and then headed over to my sisters to see my nephew's new baby. He's 10 days old and so little but a real cutie! Everytime we turned around Deanna had him. I did got to feed him his bottle and then I passed him off to his parents for the diaper changing

Wow, I didn't realize that Wild Hogs was a Disney movie!! I hope that it's on the Magic in a few weeks!!!!

Good morning all!!! We are working all day on priming and painting our family room and dining room. The dining room is an awful blue color (yes, I did originally pick it out, but now I hate it), and our family room is full of dark, real wood paneling that just makes the room look like a winter lodge. So, we need to prime it all first, then start the painting. The dining room is going to a light greyish, beige on top of the chair rail, and the bottom will be new wainscotting (sp?) painted in a slightly darker shade than the top of the wall. The family room will be painted a linen color, with darker brown trim. I sure hope that it all turns out ok!! But, in order to get it done, I promised Chris that I already turned my computer off and now I need to turn the laptop off, so that I don't get distracted!!

If we have bad weather eek: ) at all in Hilton Head, we're planning on passing the time seeing Wild Hogs.

And.......... I could especially use a couple of cold ones. I sure wish I had a few of those in the house over the last couple of days.

Are you painting the paneling -- or should I say is it done already?

We painted our family room paneling which was a dark, dark brown when we first moved here a lighter shade of just a hint of peach. We primed it first and it's held up very, very well over the years.


No big plans for us today. Gary didn't get home until about 6:30 from making sure that things went smoothly at work with the time change. I'm determined to finish up Cameron's 1st year of Boy Scouts album today. I only have 5 more events to do, so it's definately doable. Cameron has scouts today from 3-5 (he earned 2 more merit badges yesterday) and nothing else on our calendar. It's so nice to have a day off as we really have been on the go lately!!
